IT WAS SET UP BY MR HUANG MINGQUAN IN 2005 AND NOW HAS PRESENCE IN OVER 120 COUNTRIES AND RANKS AMONG THE TOP 10 HANDSET VENDORS IN CHINA. OVER THE PAST DECADE, LEPHONE HAS PIONEERED THE DEMOCRATIZATION OF TECHNOLOGY IN CHINA - BY OFFERING AFFORDABLE INNOVATIONS THROUGH THEIR PRODUCTS AND REMOVING BARRIERS FOR LARGE SCALE ADOPTION OF ADVANCED TECHNOLOGIES. THE COMPANY POSITIONS LEPHONE AS A BRAND FOR YOUTH WHICH CELEBRATES THE VIBRANCIES OF LIFE AND EMPOWERMENT. LEPHONE PRODUCED ITS FIRST MADE-IN-INDIA PHONE IN APRIL AND SET UP ITS DISTRIBUTION AND SERVICE NETWORK IN JULY 2016. THE COMPANY HAS AGGRESSIVE GROWTH PLANS IN INDIA FOR MOBILE PHONES, ACCESSORIES AND PERIPHERALS. Lephone recently entered India with a range of smartphones and feature phones. What will be company’s strategies to continue its journey in the country? And what will be its focus – feature phones or smartphones?

Strategy will be to push the Digital India movement by providing quality products at an affordable price to end user. Focus will be both the FP and SP based on their respective requirements.

Various other companies have been bringing the trending technology such as dual cameras, virtual assistants and so on to their smartphones. Does Lephone plan to acquire any such tech pieces too?

Most of the India’s population is still using feature phones, so the first motto is to provide the smartphones at an affordable price so that , this segment can shift from FP to SP . Based on this ideology, we have already captured good scale of market with our Smartphone’s like W7, W2. As far as trending technologies are concerned we also do work in parallel for that and we have already launched products like SP with fingerprint, FP with dual camera, slim ID etc.

Does Lephone plan to get into accessories or any other segment too?

Keeping eyes on various things at the same time loose the concentration, so currently we are mainly focusing on mobile phones. Other things may be into the pipeline.

What is going to be your preferred sales channel – online, offline or both?

Traditional channel of distribution is our preferred channel - Offline channel, Online – right now we are not much focusing on Online medium may be in coming time’s we may come up with some exclusive products for online.

With some mobile companies spending hugely on marketing promotions and high value associations, how are you going to gain mindshare and carve out a niche for yourself? What is going to be your strategy for brand and product promotion?

As of now we are doing more BT L rather than ATL activities, Right now we are spreading our dealer & distributor channel, soon we will be coming with high end phones then we will start ATL as well. we as a company believe in providing best quality products to end-users.
