CES 2018: Lenovo announces the 2-in-1 Miix 630 and more

Lenovo apart from unveiling new laptops in the ThinkPad series has also announced the Miix 630 2-in-1 detachable laptop, during the ongoing CES 2018. The main highlight of the detachable laptop is the support for 4G LTE for the ‘always-on, always connected’ functioning.

The Lenovo Miix 630 comes with an amalgamation of Qualcomm and Microsoft; it is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 mobile platform and runs Windows 10 S operating system. It comes with a 12.3-inch WUXGA+ touchscreen display. The laptop has 8GB of RAM and 256GB of PCIe SSD storage. It also supports a backlit keyboard and Lenovo digital pen with 1,024 levels of sensitivity for doodling around.

The Miix 630 comes with a battery backup of up to 20 hours and is equipped Microsoft Cortana and Windows Hello. It has Dolby’s Advanced Audio speakers for an enhanced audio output and is accompanied by facial recognition.

The Lenovo Miix 630 is priced at $799.99 (around Rs 50,970) and will be available in Quarter 2 2018.

Furthermore, Lenovo has unveiled Mirage Solo VR Daydream headset based on Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 VR platform WorldSense motion-tracking technology and comes with support for wireless Daydream Controller. The company has also unveiled the Lenovo Mirage Camera with Daydream for the creation of VR content, using dual 13 MP fisheye cameras.  It comes equipped with the Qualcomm Connected Camera Platform, built-in Wi-Fi and X9 LTE cellular modem in the LTE version.

Additionally, Lenovo-owned Motorola has launched the Vital Moto Mod (to record heart rate, respiratory rate, Pulse Ox, core body temperature accurate systolic and diastolic blood pressure from your finger) and the Livermorium Slider Keyboard Moto Mod (an additional QWERTY keyboard that can be tilted up to 60-degrees).
