Dyson to start operations in India starting Jan '18

British firm Dyson is going to start its operation in India starting January 2018 with the opening of its first experiential store at DLF Promenade in New Delhi. The company will roll out range of air purifiers, vacuum cleaners and personal grooming products.

The company will start with Dyson V8 cordless vacuum cleaner, Dyson Pure Cool Link purifier fan heater and Dyson Supersonic hair dryer here in India.

Dyson was founded in 1993 by Sir James Dyson, who remains Chief Engineer and Chairman of the company. Its portfolio has grown to include battery enabled and autonomous vacuum cleaners, hand dryers, lighting, heating and cooling fans, humidifiers, air purifiers and hair dryers, which are exported from the UK and sold in 75 markets globally.

In 2016 Dyson’s turnover is over $3bn and sold 13 million machines globally. By 2020 it expects to be a $7bn+ business selling 25 million machines. Dyson holds 7,500 patents worldwide.
