After recently unveiling the OnePlus 5T, OnePlus now seems ready to unveil its 2018 flagship, allegedly called the OnePlus 6.
According to a recent report by CNET, OnePlus CEO, Pete Lau suggests that the company will unveil its next flagship by June 2018. However, Lau didn’t reveal the name of the smartphone which is expected to be called the OnePlus 6. Additionally, the company isn’t sure if it plans to unveil two devices in 2018.
While there is still no word on what the device will be like and what specs the smartphone might come with, the next-gen OnePlus smartphone will ship with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 mobile platform, as confirmed by Pete Lau stating, “Of course, there's no other choice.” The company’s flagship launch will be after the Samsung’s Galaxy S9 (expected to unveil during MWC 2018) which could be the first smartphone to be powered by Snapdragon 845 processor.
Furthermore, OnePlus is expected to soon equip its OnePlus 3 and the OnePlus 3T smartphones with the Face Unlock feature, seen in the recent OnePlus 5T. To recall, the facial recognition feature made its way to the OnePlus 5 recently.
