Will this triple-lens camera feature of Huawei P20 flagship become a torchbearer among other brands?
According to a schematic sketch of Huawei P20 series shared through Chinese certification website Weibo reveals that the upcoming flagships would be furnished with triple-lens rear cameras.
The website suggests that the phone will come in three different variants; the P20, P20 Plus and P20 Lite and in all these handsets the cameras will be placed in a different way. Earlier, it was speculated that the P-series flagships would be launched as P11, following the P8, P9 and P10. However, the recent leak from its home soil has changed the notion.
The unique triple-lens camera feature has already been leaked several times by popular leakstar Evan Blass. During the first half of December 2016, Blas already mentioned that this camera would be 40-megapixels and have a 5x hybrid zoom. This camera is expected on all three P20 phones.
The placement of the cameras is different on all the three P20 series is because of their different size. The P20 Plus would feature it in a vertical way, the P20 Pro will have a vertical array but in the centre of the back panel and finally, P20 will position the lenses in horizontal array in the corner.
Both P20 Plus and P20 will be equipped with front-mounted fingerprint sensors. The notch area of P20 Pro s almost similar to the iPhone X. This is done in order to augment the screen region. Another popular leaker Roland Quandt speculated that the notch area of the product might feature a 3D depth-sensing camera.
