The latest smartphones to receive the latest Android 8.0 Oreo update are the Xiaomi Mi A1 and the ASUS ZenFone 4 (ZE554KL).
The new update to Android 8.0 Oreo brings in various new features to both the Xiaomi Mi A1 and the ASUS ZenFone 4 such as Background Limits, AutoFill feature, Picture-in-Picture mode, Notification Dots, Smart text selection feature, new emoticons, and Swipe up apps to change the app icons (specifically for the ZenFone 4).
The update for both the smartphones is available via OTA and has started rolling out to the users.
To recall, the recently launched Xiaomi Mi A1 sports a 5.5-inch full HD display, and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage. The smartphone, with stock Android (under the Android A1 initiative), comes with dual rear cameras rated at 12-megapixel each, while the front shooter stands at 5-megapixel. The Mi A1 is backed by a 3,080mAh battery and features a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
The ASUS ZenFone 4 (ZE554KL), on the other hand, sports a 5.5-inch full HD display, 4GB/6GB of RAM, two processor variants- Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 and Snapdragon 630, and 64GB of internal storage. On the camera front, there are two shooters at the back, standing at 12-megapixel and 8-megapixel Sony IMX362 sensor and an 8-megapixel front-facing snapper. The ZenFone 4 is backed by a 3,300mAh battery, and a front-facing fingerprint sensor.
