One of the most growing and flourishing market in India is the smartphone market where there are various companies giving tough competition to each other. The smartphone market in India is dominated by Japanese and Chinese companies but in recent times it has been seen that there are Indian smartphones companies which are rising up in the market and doing reasonably good. One such Indian company is Centric which is coming up with new ideas and perspective to expand its business in the smartphone market. Centric brand is under the Priyanka Communications India Private Limited (PCIPL) that operates three brand names namely Priyanka Telecom, Centric and FRND.

The company has previously launched series of smartphones like Centric L1, P1, P1 Plus, and G1. The latest launch of the company is the Centric A1 which is priced in the midrange smartphones having the price tag between Rs 10,000 – 11,000. In this review we will see what does Centric A1 possesses to lure the customers.

The new Centric is good looking smartphone and has a unibody metal design which is just 7.8mm thin with curved edges which is adding to the beauty of the phone. The bottom side of the device is having two speaker grilles which are aimed at delivering great sound quality; there is USB port at the bottom as well. The front side of the device at the upper region is having the selfie camera along with the flash. The lower side of the front side is having the home key at the centre and the two capacitive keys are placed on both side of the home key. The left side of the device is having the SIM tray which is Hybrid SIM tray allowing you to use two SIMS at a time or one SIM and one microSD card. The right side of the phone is sporting volume rockers and the power button. The rear side of the device is having the rear camera, LED flash and the fingerprint sensor aligned horizontally. Below the fingerprint sensor lies the logo of the device.

The new Centric A1 has a display size of 5.5 inch which is full HD and has resolution of 1920x1080 pixels which is quite good and the resolution gives you clear clarity while you watch anything. The display of the device is protected by 2.5D curved glass which shields your phone’s display and prevent any scratch or crack by sudden fall of the device. The display size will give you good gaming experience also as because the size is such which provides you wider viewing angles.

Centric A1 has two impressive cameras to attract the users to let them click amazing pictures in any condition. Centric A1 has 8 MP front camera with LED flash which means that you do not have to worry about the condition or about the lighting of the environment in which you are clicking selfie because the LED is there. So for selfie lovers it is quite an attracting feature. The rear camera is of 13 megapixel with LED Flash so you can shoot amazing pictures at day and even at night as well. The cameras are quite good giving you clear and crispy images even in the dim lightings. The camera app features a face beauty mode and various editing filters which are now latest and trending. The cameras of Centric A1 deliver decent images so one might find Centric A1 attracting.

The new Centric A1 is powered by 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC processor. The processor is developed in such manner that it lets you run your smartphone smoothly.The device is having 3 GB of RAM which is to take you away with the tasks without having much load on other processes of the phone. The RAM with the help of the processor to some extent able to keep the device from getting over heated and also not allowing the device to get hanged in between in any task. The gaming experience is also quite good because the display of the device with its aspect ratio gives users a real amazing experience. The RAM of the phone allows you to play high definitions game. The high definitions game on some occasions does heat the phone to some extent but overall the device functions well. The ROM of the device is of 32 GB which allows you store multiple apps, media, and games. Further the storage can be expanded up to 128 GB with the help of microSD card. The new Centric A1 runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat which is almost found in all the new smartphones who a have latest OS from Android. The device will also get the Oreo update soon as well.

The new Centric A1 possesses an impressive battery power. It is powered by 3,000 mAh non removable battery giving the phone boost of power. The battery power of the device is quite impressive allowing the users to use the phone throughout the day. It gives you non- stop hour of enjoyment whether you are playing game r you are enjoying movies. The charging of the device is powered by a Qualcomm rapid charger 3.0 which has the capability to charge the device fast. It can give 4 hours of talk time in just 10 minutes of charge.

The new Centric A1 clicks all the boxes of being a good performer in the mid-range segment. The phone feels nice in hand as the size is quite appropriate. Both the cameras give decent images without much of noise. In a nutshell, A1 could a good option to begin with in just Rs 10,999.
