iPhone 16 Pro Max To Be Made in India

Apple is shifting its production strategy for the iPhone 16 series. For the first time, the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max models will be assembled in India at the Foxconn factory in Tamil Nadu.

This move is part of Apple's broader effort to reduce reliance on China amidst ongoing trade tensions. iPhones assembled in India will be sold domestically and exported to key markets like the United States and Europe.

Instead of "Assembled in China," some iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max models will now say "Assembled in India" inside the USB-C port.
