Bharti Airtel said it is teaming with Google Cloud in a move aimed at accelerating cloud adoption and rolling out advanced AI solutions across Indian enterprises.

The partnership is going to leverage Google Cloud’s AI technologies with Airtel connectivity to reach more than 2,000 large enterprises and a million emerging businesses in India.

Airtel has set up a new network management center in Pune with over 300 professionals trained in specialization in Google Cloud technologies and digital services.

Using Airtel’s data, the companies will create AI and machine learning solutions like geospatial and voice analytics and marketing technologies.

These solutions promise improved trend analysis, risk management, and consumer behaviour forecasting.

Airtel has also developed an IoT solution for the utility sector to integrate connectivity, Google Cloud services, and application software, making it easier for deployment processes.

Gopal Vittal, MD & CEO of Bharti Airtel, highlighted the partnership’s role in India’s digital shift, stating, “This collaboration with Google Cloud will help us deliver secure, scalable cloud solutions across various sectors.”

Thomas Kurian, CEO of Google Cloud, emphasized the strategic importance of the partnership in enhancing Airtel’s customer service capabilities and expanding their services globally. “Our strategic collaboration with Airtel marks a significant milestone towards our commitment to accelerate cloud and AI adoption in India,” Kurian said.
