Google is expected to formally announce its first-ever foldable phone, the Google Pixel Fold, at the Google I/O event in Mountain View, California, on May 10th. Ahead of that, two separate leaks by reliable tipsters Kuba Wojciechowski and Jon Prosser (Front Page Tech) have pretty much revealed everything about the phone, including its design, pricing details and key specs.

Kuba (who’s been leaking a lot of information related to the Pixel Fold in the past) has uploaded a six-second clip of a foldable on Twitter, which he claims is the first live look of Google’s first foldable.
We’d earlier seen the Pixel Fold leak in renders , and apparently in the hands of a communter on the New York Subway, but this could be our best look yet. While there is no logo or the classic Google camera module to distinguish that this indeed is the Pixel Fold, what we do see is the selfie camera, thick internal bezels and rounded edges. The video on the internal screen is blurred, but we do get an idea of the form factor.
As per previous leaks, the Pixel Fold is expected to weigh around or 283gms, which is about 20gms heavier than its closest competitor, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4. The Pixel Fold dimensions when folded are expected to be 5.5 height x 3.1 width x 0.5 depth (inches). We don’t know the exact dimensions unfolded yet.
Pixel Fold Price, Colours (Leaked)
As per Jon Prosser the Pixel Fold price will be $1,799 (over Rs 1.47 lakh) for the 12GB/256GB model in Chalk and Obsidian colours. The Google Pixel Fold 12GB/512GB is expected to be available for $1,919 (over Rs 1.57 lakh) in Obsidian only. As per Prosser, there is a free Pixel Watch for all those who pre-order the Fold.
The Pixel Fold pre-orders will start from May 10th from the Google Store, while the phone is expected to ship starting June 27th, as per the leaked info.
Google Pixel Fold Specifications
Prosser has further dwelled on what we can expect from the Pixel Fold spec sheet as follows:
* Display: The outer display will be 5.8 inch-FHD+ OLED with a resolution of 2092×1080 OLED at 408ppi and a 17.4:9 aspect ratio. The inner display is 7.6 inches, 2208×1840 OLED with a 6:5 aspect ratio at 380ppi. The inner display has ultra-thin glass protected by plastic. Both displays have 120hz refresh rates.
* Chipset: As per previous leaks, the Pixel Fold will use Google’s in-house Tensor 2 chipset along with a Titan M2 security chip. The chipset could be the same as that of the Pixel 7.
* Cameras: The Pixel Fold will have a triple camera setup. According to Prosser, there will be a 1/2 inch, 48MP main sensor with 0.8 μm pixel width and f/1.7 aperture. There’s a 1/3.1-inch 10.8MP sensor telephoto lens with 1.22 pm pixel width, f/3.05 aperture, with 5x optical zoom capable up to 20x digitally. The ultrawide camera will have a 1/3-inch, 10.8MP sensor with 1.25 um pixel width, f/2.2 aperture and 121.1-degree field of view. The outer selfie camera is 9.5MP, while the inner front camera is 8MP.
* RAM and storage: Two storage variants are expected – 256GB and 512GB with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM. The storage is UFS 3.1.
* Battery: The Pixel Fold is expected to pack a 4,700mAh battery. The fast charging details are unknown at the moment.
* OS: It is expected to run Android 13 OS out of the box.
