iPhone 15 Plus: Long Battery Life?
In a previous advertisement last month, Apple had already showcased the endurance of the iPhone 15 Plus battery.
Coinciding with the release of iOS 17.3, which introduces the new Stolen Device Protection feature, Apple has rolled out another TV commercial to promote the iPhone 15 Plus and its 4383mAh battery.
It’s important to note that due to the specific nature of iOS, the battery capacity of the iPhone cannot be directly compared to that of Android devices.
The iPhone 15 Pro Max, for instance, is equipped with a slightly larger 4422mAh battery.
Battery Test Shows Interesting Results
According to PhoneArena’s battery test, the iPhone 15 Pro Max leads in browsing time with 19 hours and 20 minutes.
The iPhone 15 Plus follows closely, offering 16 hours and 21 minutes of browsing time.
However, in terms of video playback, the iPhone 15 Plus surpasses the Pro Max, delivering 11 hours and 14 minutes, compared to the Pro Max’s 9 hours and 45 minutes.
The iPhone 15 Plus boasts a 6.7-inch OLED screen and runs on the 4nm A16 Bionic application processor.
It features a dual-camera setup on the rear with a 48MP Wide and a 12MP Ultra-wide lens, and a 12MP front-facing FaceTime camera.
The device comes with 6GB of RAM and is available in storage options of 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB.
The new advertisement is set to appear in 30-second slots, including a shorter 15-second version tailored for YouTube and TV.
It is likely to be broadcast during the upcoming NFL Conference Championship games.
This is Apple’s second advertisement recently that focuses on the iPhone 15 Plus battery life.
In December, Apple released a creative ad featuring a power outlet singing about missing the iPhone 15 Plus.
To recap the battery life across the iPhone 15 range:
- iPhone 15 Pro Max: Up to 29 hours of video playback, up to 95 hours of audio playback – 4,422 mAh, 17.10 Wh
