Apple is gearing up to launch its M4 MacBook Air by March 2025 with a chance it could arrive as early as February. The time is revealed in the latest Bloomberg report and it reveals that the biggest upgrade is expected to be Apple’s M4 chip and 16GB RAM as the new base variant.

Reports also suggest that units are already being shipped from factories to Apple’s warehouses hinting at an imminent launch.

The M4 MacBook Air will likely follow a timeline similar to the M3 MacBook Air, which was launched in March 2024. However, before the new MacBook arrives, Apple’s first big launch of the year will be the iPhone SE 4, which is expected to be unveiled on February 19.

What Other Products Apple Working On?

While the M4 MacBook Air is on the way, it’s not the only M4-powered device in development. Apple is reportedly working on the following –

  • M4 Mac Studio & M4 Mac Pro – Expected to launch in summer 2025.
  • M5 Chip Debut – Apple could introduce the M5 chip between October and November with the M5 MacBook Pro likely to be the first device to feature it. However, the M5 iPad Pro is not expected until early 2026.

  • A smart home hub, rumoured to feature the A18 SoC (from the iPhone 16), a 6-inch display, and a custom smart home interface.
