But assuming this report is true and Google is planning to delay the Android 15 rollout, it only means that new Pixel 9 users will have to spend more time with Android 14. Instead of the Android 15 update, it appears the new Pixel 9 users will get the September 2024 security patch next month. The final Beta 4 for Android 15 was released in July. After the successful beta testing, many experts were expecting a public release as early as August or September. However, Google released Beta 4.2 and indicated that users should wait for the "final public stable release of Android 15 (AP3A) coming soon." In the meantime, Google already started testing the Android 15 QPR1 (Quarterly Platform Release 1) update.
