These features align with X’s vision, which started in 2023 with the rebranding, introduction of X Premium and other changes. According to the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System website, the payment subsidiary of X has money transmission licenses in 14 states. Elon Musk during an internal meeting in 2023 described the shift as a move from "Twitter 1.0 to the everything app" while Yaccarino emphasised that X aims to deliver "everything" through its innovation and partnerships.
