Google Pixel Tablet Image Leaks Online: Details Here
Google is expected to make its grand entry back into the tablet market this year with the Pixel Tablet. Initial reports suggested that the tablet would have a standard as well as a Pro version. However, Android researcher and notable tipster, Kuba Wojciechowski, revealed that there will only be one version of the tablet and that the Pro version is cancelled.
It was initially believed that Google would launch the standard version with the first-gen Tensor chip and the Tensor G2 chip. These were tipped to have the code names ‘Tangor’ and Tangorpro’. Now though, we might get just one version, powered by the Tensor G2 which will come without the Pro moniker. This would mean that the standard version with the older, first-gen Tensor processor was cancelled sometime during development.
He added that the company has cancelled the Tangor project. In other words, only variants of the Pixel Tablet featuring the Tensor G2 chip will arrive on the market. Citing an anonymous source, the tipster added that the Pixel Tablet will offer 8GB of Samsung LPDDR5 RAM and 256 GB of Kioxia UFS storage. It will arrive with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Shown above are some of the newly leaked images of the pre-production unit of the Pixel Tablet shared by the tipster. He revealed that the screen supports a resolution of 2560 × 1600 pixels.
The device is tipped to come with a 2560×1600 CSoT “ppa957db2d” display with an RT4539 LED driver. The display is supplied by China Star Optoelectronics (CSOT) and is backed by a Richtek RT4539 six-channel LED driver, which is typically used for backlighting LCD panels.
Hence, it is safe to say that the Pixel Tablet does not have an AMOLED screen. According to a previous report, the tablet features an 11-inch screen. Lastly, the tipster said that Google will offer two kinds of docks for the Pixel Tablet. The Korlan / K6 dock will come equipped with a speaker, whereas the Yuzu / Y4 dock will support charging.
This is further compounded by Google itself. In a post on its official blog, Google mentions explicitly that the Pixel Tablet will be powered by the Tensor G2 processor. They also seem to stick to mentioning the tablet as a singular device and not a series. This adds further credence to Wojciechowski’s claims. It should be noted that the Tensor G2 is the same processor that powers the current generation of Google Pixel smartphones, namely the Pixel 7 and the Pixel 7 Pro.
Google has also been spotted working on a new smart home device with its custom Fuchsia OS out-of-the-box. The company is said to be bringing an upcoming device with its in-house operating system; however, the name of the device is not known. The report suggests that Fuchsia developers have submitted a document explaining an upcoming project. It says that Fuchsia will gain support for JavaScript development to make it easier to manage and control a device.
Google Pixel Tablet Specifications
A few months ago, Wojciechowski revealed some of the device’s specifications. He noted that the device might offer an 11-inch display with support for Wi-Fi 6 connectivity. He also noted that the device might be available in two storage variants, 128GB and 256GB. In the blog post mentioned above, Google suggests that the Pixel Tablet might be a hybrid device of sorts.
Merging traditional tablets with smart displays such as the Amazon Echo Show series. The device will come with the Charging Speaker Dock, which will not only charge the device but also act as an external speaker. This will give users hands-free access to Google Assistant, while also providing a base where they can easily watch movies or display photos. Google hopes that this will ensure that the tablet becomes an integral part of a person’s home instead of being put away in a drawer when not in use.

2) How is the Google Pixel Tablet a rival of OnePlus Pad ?
Ans) A recent teaser and specs leaks for the OnePlus Pad suggest that OnePlus’s upcoming Android tablet could be a mid-range device, and what we’re seeing of the Pixel Tablet also points in that direction, so these two slates could be directly competing with each other.
If the leaks above are right, then Google’s has a surprising amount of storage – unless lower capacities are also made available – but otherwise looks to be packing fairly mid-range specs.
It could have the edge over the OnePlus Pad in certain ways, most notably its skills as a smart display, but then the OnePlus Pad may well have an OLED screen – which is typically superior to the LCD rumored here. OnePlus’s tablet will almost certainly launch sooner too. It’s landing on February 7 alongside the OnePlus 11, while the Pixel Tablet’s launch date is currently unknown.
