This larger dimension, already announced in March, is a staggering 45mm wide to allow for a 1.45-inch display.

While the general size is the same, the Pixel Watch 3 XL is set to be a good deal thicker.

According to the source, the next generation would then be 13.89mm in thickness-as compared to a pixel Watch 2 whose profile was 12.9mm, or a millimeter or so more.

Details regarding the increase in the size of the batteries are, however, not well demonstrated.
