Honor has officially confirmed that it will launch the Honor Magic V5 on July 2 in China. Speaking at MWC Shanghai 2025, CEO George Zhao revealed that the upcoming foldable phone will come with cutting-edge AI features and raise the bar for foldable design. Honor Magic V5 – Lightest and Thinnest Foldable Yet

According to Zhao, the Honor Magic V5 will be the “world’s thinnest and lightest foldable phone.” While he didn’t mention exact figures, leaks suggest it could be around 8mm thick when unfolded and weigh between 210 to 219 grams.

He also shared that the Magic V5 will be the most advanced AI device in its class. It will support a full-stack personal knowledge system, multi-agent AI collaboration, PC-level productivity and seamless connectivity across the Honor ecosystem.

Honor Magic V5 – Expected Specs

Rumours hint that the phone will feature a 7.95-inch 2K+ LTPO foldable display and a 6.45-inch outer screen. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Leading Version chip, which includes CPU speeds of up to 4.47GHz and a 1200MHz GPU.

One of its standout features will be its 6,100mAh battery, which is the largest ever on a foldable phone. It’s also expected to support 80W wired and wireless charging.

The camera setup may include a 200MP main sensor and the phone will also feature a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and Beidou satellite messaging.

It could arrive in Velvet Black, Warm White, Dawn Gold and Silk Road Dunhuang colour options.

Honor Launches on July 2

Alongside the Magic V5, Honor will also unveil the MagicPad 3 tablet. This flagship device is expected to feature a 13.3-inch LCD screen, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, 66W fast charging and a super slim 5.79mm profile.
