Infinix has quietly introduced the Infinix Smart 9. It is the latest entry-level smartphone from the brand that promises smooth performance for up to 48 months. The smartphone has already been released in a few countries such as Bangladesh and Malaysia.

It has been introduced as an affordable-priced smartphone with all basic features.

Infinix Smart 9 is available in several colour options including Black, Mint Green, Gold, and Silver (branded as Neo Titanium).

While we don’t have an exact update about the price and variant available.

In Malaysia, the phone was launched in two variants – a 3GB RAM/ 64GB storage variant and a 4GB RAM/ 128GB storage version.

The 3GB RAM/ 64GB storage variant is priced at MYR 299 (around €65 or $75 or approx INR 6,500). The price of the other 4GB RAM/ 128GB storage variant remains under wraps.

Infinix Smart 9 – Features and Specifications

The Smart 9 comes with a 6.7-inch LCD always-on display with HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. It also features a punch-hole design for the front-facing selfie camera. The smartphone has a Dynamic Bar for notifications.

The phone is powered by the Helio G81 chipset.

For photography, the Smart 9 includes an 8MP front camera and a 13MP rear camera. These are accompanied by an auxiliary sensor.

The “48-month fluency” claim only applies to the version with 128GB of storage.

Infinix Smart 9 marketing material promises long-term performance. However, a note clarified that the fluency claim is not the same as the “absolutely no lag” claim. This makes us wonder whether a claim is only a marketing gimmick rather than a breakthrough.

Other features include a 5,000mAh battery, IP54 rating for dust and water resistance and drop protection.

Infinix Smart 9 also comes with stereo speakers for better sound quality.

The phone runs on Android 14 Go Edition and with Infinix’s XOS 14 skin on top. The software optimises the devices with lighter specs.
