iQOO launched the Neo 8 series last month in China.
The company launched two premium smartphones in the new Neo series lineup. These include the Neo 8 and Neo 8 Pro 5G. At the time of the launch last month, the Neo 8 Pro was launched with two storage options.
iQOO has now unveiled a third new storage option for the Neo 8 Pro in China. The device will be available in the company’s home country with a whopping 1TB storage option. iQOO will continue to offer 256GB and 512GB storage options for the Neo 8 Pro in China.
The Neo 8 Pro is the first iQOO smartphone to get a 1TB storage option.
Prior to this, the company launched several phones with up to 512GB of storage in China.
Prior to the launch, iQOO has been teasing its upcoming smartphones and it has now revealed the AnTuTu score of the iQOO Neo 8 Pro, and also hinted at the phone’s storage and RAM details.

The phone will have a square-shaped camera module on the back with a triple-camera setup. iQOO also revealed some details about the Neo 8 Pro.
The iQOO Neo 8 Pro is confirmed to feature a new MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ SoC. The new MediaTek flagship chipset is based on a 4nm fabrication process and comes with a peak clock speed of 3.35GHz.
It features one Cortex X3 prime core, three Cortex A715 cores clocked at 3.0GHz and four Cortex A510 cores clocked at 2.0GHz. The new MediaTek flagship SoC has a Mali-G715 GPU as well.
iQOO has revealed the AnTuTu score of the Neo 8 Pro ahead of its May 23 debut. The device is claimed to offer the highest AnTuTu score in any Android phone.
The Neo 8 Pro AnTuTu score, according to the teaser, is 13,63,206 points. It is higher than the ASUS ROG Phone 7 series, which is claimed to have scored 13,30,011 points on AnTuTu.
iQOO Neo 8 Pro is likely to launch with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM AND 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage, according to rumours.
The teaser poster also confirms the same via the fine print at the bottom, which reveals that the claimed AnTuTu score was tested on the Neo 8 Pro’s 16GB + 512GB storage option.

iQOO Neo 8 Pro with More Memory: Price Revealed
The iQOO Neo 8 Pro is now available in China with a new 16GB RAM option with 1TB of storage. The new variant is the highest-end storage configuration by the company.
It is priced at CNY 3699 (roughly Rs 42,800). The device is also available in 16GB + 256GB and 16GB + 512GB storage options, which are priced at CNY 3099 (roughly Rs 35,900) and CNY 3399 (roughly Rs 39,300).
The company launched the Neo 8 Pro in China in three colour options — Green, Black and Red. Those who buy the new storage option will get iQOO’s new TWS Pro for free.
The Neo 8 Pro packs some top-of-the-line hardware under the hood.
The company launched the phone in China with a MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ SoC, which is MediaTek’s most powerful SoC currently. The Neo 8 Pro also has a smooth 144Hz refresh rate display along with a 5000mAh battery. It also features a dual-camera setup on the back.
iQOO might launch its top-end Neo series smartphone later this year in India and other markets. While the company has not confirmed any details about the same, what is confirmed is the launch of the Neo 7 Pro in India.
iQOO Neo 8 Series Specifications Teased
iQOO Neo 8 series will launch later this month in China. Ahead of the launch, the company has teased some key specs of the phones.
The Neo 8 series is now confirmed to feature a Sony IMX866V camera sensor. The 50MP main camera sensor is also confirmed to feature support for optical image stabilisation (OIS). The company did not reveal the rest of the camera specs of the triple-camera setup.
A separate teaser also confirms that the Neo 8 series will feature support for Wi-Fi 7. The devices will come with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage, which is currently found in flagship devices.
The fine print suggests that there might be a 128GB variant, which will offer support for UFS 3.1. Memory options with 256GB or more will feature UFS 4.0 storage.
iQOO has already confirmed that the Neo 8 Pro will feature the top-end Dimensity 9200+ SoC from MediaTek, which has a peak clock speed of 3.35GHz and is based on a 4nm fabrication process.
The device, along with the Neo 8, will feature the V1+ image signal processor (ISP), which is claimed to enhance the camera and overall performance of the device. The Neo 8 series will also offer 144Hz refresh rate support.
At the moment, it is unknown if the 144Hz display will be exclusive to the Pro model or whether the vanilla Neo 8 will also come with the smoother refresh rate tech.
The Neo 8 was spotted on Geekbench with the model number V2301A. It revealed that the phone has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC or possibly an under-clocked version of the
Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, which has a peak clock speed of 3.0GHz.
The variant of the Neo 8 listed on Geekbench had 16GB of RAM.
It was spotted running Android 13 out of the box. We can expect the phone to have a layer of Origin OS 3 on top of Android in China. The Neo 8 series is confirmed to feature a vegan leather back panel in red. We can expect the company to launch the phone in more colour options.
The phones are likely to sport a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution. They might also pack a 5000mAh battery and offer 120W fast charging support.
iQOO Neo 8 Pro Camera Details, Samples
According to the Weibo post, the iQOO Neo 8 Pro will sport a 50MP primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), and the V1+ ISP will assist the main camera.
The Sony IMX866VCS sensor, which is present in the Vivo X90 series, will be utilised by the iQOO Neo 8 Pro’s camera. While information about the primary camera of the iQOO Neo 8 Pro has been revealed, there is currently no information available regarding the secondary cameras on the device.
The Chinese smartphone maker also shared some photos taken with the soon-to-be-released iQOO Neo 8 Pro.
