Motorola last year launched a business-focused ThinkPhone using Lenovo’s popular ThinkPad brand. While it was primarily released as a business-oriented device, the smartphone gained popularity amongst regular users for its sleek design and solid features. Now, a recent report suggests Motorola might be thinking of bringing the ThinkPhone back in 2025. Here’s what we know so far.

In one of its recent exclusive reports, Android Headlines claims that Motorola is gearing up to launch the ThinkPhone in 2025 with several exciting updates.

Android Headlines report also shared an image of what looks like the upcoming ThinkPhone.

The shared image of the ThinkPhone 2025 suggests that the phone will feature flat sides and a redesigned camera module. It will most likely look similar to the recent Motorola Edge series.

The leaked image also suggests slightly slimmer bezels as compared to the original ThinkPhone of last year. It has a textured back panel same as last year, keeping the overall design familiar.

Android Headline also reports that the display size in the upcoming ThinkPhone will most likely shrink.

The new ThinkPhone 2025 will sport a 6.36-inch LTPO pOLED display. This if true, will make the phone more compact compared to its predecessor.  Last year’s ThinkPhone had a 6.6-inch display.

The report also reveals an increase in the display resolution. It will now get a 2670 x 1200 (460ppi) resolution, which is a significant upgrade from the previous FHD+ panel (399ppi).

The ThinkPhone 2025 will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset. The processor will be supported by 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of onboard storage.

Motorola will reportedly stick to one variant this time with one configuration.

As for battery life, the report claims the 2025 ThinkPhone will have a 4310mAh battery with 68W fast charging support.

Motorola is also working to offer a solid camera upgrade next year.

The ThinkPhone 2025 will reportedly replace the 2MP depth sensor with a 10MP 3x telephoto lens. This if true will add more versatility to the ThinkPhone camera.

On the other hand, it will retain the same 50MP main camera and 13MP ultrawide camera we have seen in last year’s business-focused model.

Overall, it looks like Motorola is preparing ThinkPhone 2025 to offer a more compact design, better display and enhanced camera setup. Users can easily expect solid performance since the brand is planning to aim the smartphone at both business and everyday users at the same time.
