Jamtara Season 2 Trailer Upgrades the Story

Sacred Games was the first ever Indian web-series that was a massive success thereby paving way for OTT platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, and others where they can now show content of different genres without worrying about the Indian censor board chopping adult content out.

Gangsters web-series like Mirzapur has achieved an iconic status and has been favourably compared to ‘The Godfather’ no less with Pankaj Tripathi’s performance in the series exalted him to the status of being the ‘Indian Marlon Brando’.

There is no dearth to excellent actors in the country and due to the massive clout of Bollywood stars, these actors from small-town are left far behind in the rat race as they don’t have PR agencies, godfather, or any, financial support to back them up.

Luckily, OTT platforms have changed things for the better for these actors as they can now finally prove their acting skills and win the hearts of the audience that they otherwise couldn’t due to receiving miniscule roles in movies.

Brief Description

Similarly there is a unique web-series called Jamtara, whose story is based in the eponymous district of Jharkhand. It revolves around a couple of small-towners that are involved in a phishing racket that is a huge success but there is a roadblock in the form of a corrupt politician who wants his share in the business.

Then enters the protagonist in the form of a police superintendent who is waging war against both and wants to clean up the town by ridding it of such unscrupulous elements who he believes a menace to society.

Jamtara Season 2 trailer was announced in the last week of August along with the announcement of the release date that has left the fans quite excited. The lucky day has finally arrived as Netflix has unveiled the second season trailer for Jamtara.

Jamtara: Sabka Number Ayega is coming back in a better phase with much more dangerous scams that would make phishing look like child’s play. The series is based on true events and this only increases the level of excitement for people fond of thrillers.

The Jamtara Season 2 will feature new characters with rivalries renewed in the backdrop of the Jamtara local elections approaching at a faster phase and all the candidates determined to win it by hook or crook.

The protagonist is Gudiya Mondal, played by Monika Panwar, who will be the main contender, facing off against Brajesh Bhaan, played by Amit Sial, who reprises the role of the corrupt politician.

Trailer Breakdown

The Jamtara Season 2 releases on September 23, 2022 exclusively on Netflix and has left an air of suspense and anticipation amongst viewers as to what they can expect in the new season given many of the characters.

The trailer begins with a voiceover where the age-old crimes will be compared with the new ones. It involves dacoits, a band of armed robbers riding horses and terrorizing innocent locals in the valleys of Chambal, Madhya Pradesh.

The narrator begins with the line ‘Gone are the days of dacoits’, dropping a subtle hint of the digital scams prevailing in the society but as with the last season, this one too will focus on phone scams that have become synonymous with Jamtara, Jharkhand, and the trend continues in the new season where it left off.

Then it shifts to the citizens who are portrayed as simple and gullible that easily fall for the lucky draw scams, which is made easier as the fraudsters have prepared fake Aadhaar cards in advance.

Once the stakes get high, Rocky, played by Anshuman Puskar, orders 5,000 SIM cards, as his aim is to mould school going children in the fine art of phishing and create a new generation of scamsters in the town.

A fine addition to the cast is veteran actress Seema Pahwa from Ramprasad Ki Tehrvi fame who watches over the election process and who feels that relations hold no value in the world of politics and in order to rise up, one has to leave kith and kin far behind.

A lot of old actors are going to reprise their roles from the previous season like Biswa Pathak, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Aksha Pardasany, and many others so one can expect sparks to fly when the series starts streaming on Netflix.
