Vivo X500 Ultra May Get a 68MP Selfie Camera
DCS’s post on Weibo.
As per the latest tip, Vivo is testing a 68-megapixel Sony sensor with a 1:1 aspect ratio for the front-facing camera on the Vivo X500 Ultra. If the information turns out to be accurate, the device could offer one of the highest-resolution selfie cameras seen on a flagship smartphone.
However, Vivo has not officially confirmed any details related to the handset, so these specifications should be treated as leaked information for now.
Vivo X500 Ultra – Other Expected Specifications
Meanwhile, a previous leak from the same tipster have suggested that an advanced triple rear camera system is in development for the Vivo X500 Ultra. The smartphone is tipped to feature a 200-megapixel primary camera with a 1/1.12-inch sensor and LOFIC technology. The tipster suggests that this could be Samsung’s HPA sensor. The ultra-wide camera is also expected to use a 200-megapixel 1/1.56-inch sensor, which could either be Samsung’s HP5 or a sensor from SmartSens.
For zoom photography, the Vivo X500 Ultra is said to include a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with a 1/1.28-inch sensor and LOFIC technology. According to the leak, Vivo may use either the SmartSens SCC90XS or the OmniVision OV52B sensor for this camera.
Apart from the camera hardware, the Vivo X500 Ultra is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset.
The smartphone is also tipped to feature a 2K flat LTPO OLED display, which is expected to deliver a premium viewing experience with adaptive refresh rate support.
Reports have further claimed that the Vivo X500 Ultra could be priced at more than ¥10,000 in China, which roughly translates to around Rs. 1.4 lakh. If accurate, it would make the handset one of Vivo’s most expensive smartphones to date.
Notably, Vivo has not officially confirmed these details. More information about the Vivo X500 Ultra is expected to surface in the coming months as its launch approaches.
