According to a recent Gizmochina report, the decision to change the name could be a strategic one. The company appears to be aligning the upcoming 9400e more with MediaTek’s current flagship lineup and not sticking with the 9300-series branding. However, it’s likely to remain deeply connected to the Dimensity 9300 series despite the new name.
Dimensity 9400e – What to Expect?
Digital Chat Station describes the Dimensity 9400e as an upgraded version of the Dimensity 9300, calling it a “Dimensity 9300++.” However, it’s different from the Dimensity 9300+, which is already an enhanced variant of the 9300.
From what we understand, the 9400e will offer even better performance than the 9300+. In terms of core layout, the 9400e is expected to follow the same structure as the 9300 series –
- 1x Cortex-X4 Prime Core
- 3x Cortex-X4 Performance Cores
- 4x Cortex-A720 Efficiency Cores
The key difference could be higher clock speeds, giving it a noticeable performance boost.
