Motorola is gearing up for the launch of a new foldable phone. The company is expected to launch the Motorola Razr+ 2023 in the coming months. At the time of writing this, the company has not confirmed the official launch timeline of the foldable phone.
The device could debut in China and might go on sale in other markets soon after. While we wait for some more official details about the same, the Motorola Razr Plus 2023 has been spotted on the 3C and EEC certification websites.
The listings confirm some key details about the upcoming Motorola foldable phone.
Motorola is tipped to launch a new generation of its foldable smartphone under the iconic ‘Razr’ mobile phone lineup later this year.
Now, a series of leaks and certifications have started offering details in terms of what the smartphone may have to offer, including its potential charging speed in the latest certification under China’s 3C, which surfaced online.
Let’s take a look at the Motorola Razr+ 2023 specifications, features and other details known so far.
What the Motorola Razr+ may Offer
According to the 3C certification post, 2023 Motorola Razr+ will come with 33W fast charging, which is 10 percent higher than the 30W fast charging that was already on offer with the 2022 Moto Razr.
Along with this, the Motorola Razr+ could also upgrade its battery size, which is tipped to increase by 4 percent — up from 3,500mAh on the 2022 Razr, to a purported 3,640mAh in the upcoming Motorola Razr+.
The 3C certification does not reveal any further details in terms of the overall specifications, but does suggest that the device could be launched within the coming months.
The smartphone has featured in the European Commission’s certification platform as well, suggesting that the device will be a global launch from the Lenovo-owned company.
A previous leak stated that the Motorola Razr+ of 2023 will feature a significantly larger cover display on the outer fold, which will also come with two cameras.
The outer display could be over 3 inches in size, and could show significantly more information than before.
The report likened it to Oppo’s new Find N2 Flip, and further added that Motorola could be skipping the front camera on the inside folding display of the Razr+ since the outer display would be large enough to serve as a high-resolution viewfinder.

FAQ’s on Motorola Razr + 2023
1) How is the display of Motorola Razr 2023?
Ans) The cover display of the device Motorola Razr 2023 occupies almost the whole top rear panel, which has a dual camera setup alongside an LED flash. The exact size of the cover display is unknown at the moment, but we can expect it to be around 3.26-inch, much like the one found on the OPPO Find N2 Flip.
Moving on to the main display, strangely, the Motorola Razr 2023 does not appear to have any sort of cutout for the selfie camera, which could either mean that the device might feature an under-display front camera or might skip it entirely.
The latter is also a plausible theory, considering the fact that the outer cover display could potentially be used as a viewfinder for taking selfies, that too via the device’s main camera.
This could eliminate the need for a hole in the display, thereby ensuring a more immersive viewing experience.
2) How is the design of Motorola Razr 2023?
Ans) The Motorola Razr 2023 design renders have leaked ahead of the foldable phone’s official launch. The device will have a big cover display. The leaked renders of the upcoming Motorola foldable phone were uploaded by tipster Evan Blass.
The renders show that the cover display almost occupies the whole top rear panel shell.
The foldable phone’s outer display will have three cutouts at the bottom right. These are for the dual-camera setup and an LED flash.
The exact size of the cover display is unknown. However, by the looks of it, the Razr 2023 might have a cover display bigger than the OPPO Find N2 Flip, which has a 3.26-inch outer screen.
On the inside, the phone does not have any cutout for the front camera, according to the leaked design renders shared by The Tech Outlook.
It could be possible that Motorola launches the phone with an under-screen front camera or none at all. And it might make sense as the cover display itself is large enough to be used as a viewfinder for clicking selfies.
This will also help get an immersive viewing experience when using the foldable screen.
The bezels around the foldable display are fairly narrow.
The frame is also curved, which should help offer comfortable grip. At the moment, no specifications of the phone have leaked online.
