Motorola Razr 40 Ultra is yet to get an official launch date but that isn’t stopping the rumour mill from spreading leaks and new details about the foldable. Recently, we’ve come across the complete specifications of the phone, revealing to us what to expect.
Now, while we wait for the announcement, Motorola Razr 40 Ultra’s seemingly official renders have surfaced online, courtesy of noted tipster Evan Blass.
These images show the complete design of the phone, including the most-talked large secondary screen.
Let’s take a look at the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra design, specifications, features and other details revealed so far.
Here’s the Leaked Images of the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra
The Motorola Razr 40 Ultra will be a premium foldable phone. It is expected to launch in China and possibly a few other markets in the coming days.
The Razr 40 Ultra is likely to get many upgrades over the outgoing model.
The biggest and the most noticeable change would be on the outside.
The Razr 40 Ultra has a massive outer display, possibly the biggest that we have seen on any clamshell-style folding phone. The OPPO Find N2 Flip has a 3.26-inch cover display, whereas the Galaxy Z Flip 4 has a tiny 1.9-inch outer screen.
The Razr 2022, which was launched globally, came with a 2.7-inch OLED cover display.
While the images shared by Blass do not confirm the outer screen size, it certainly looks a lot bigger than the rest of the clamshell foldable phones out there.
It is rumoured that the Razr 40 Ultra’s outer display will be, more or less, about 3.4-3.6 inches tall.
There are cutouts at the corner of the outer shell for the dual-camera setup and an LED flash module.
On the inside, there is a tall foldable display with a hole-punch cutout at the top centre. The bezels around the screen are fairly narrow.
We can see some antenna lines on the curved frame, suggesting the use of metal. The right edge houses the power and volume buttons.
The bottom edge has cutouts for the USB Type-C port, the speaker grille and one of the two visible microphones.
Images shared by Blass reveal that the Razr 40 Ultra will launch in three colour options. A recent report revealed that these might be called Barberry, Black, and Blue.
The same report revealed that the Razr 40 Ultra will feature an AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 2640×1080-pixel resolution.
Some leaks have claimed that the Razr 40 Ultra’s 6.9-inch foldable display will support a 144Hz or 165Hz refresh rate.
There will be a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC under the hood, which was also confirmed via a Geekbench listing.
The phone will launch with at least 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
It will pack a 3,640mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging.
The device will also feature a 12MP main Sony IMX563 sensor and a 13MP SK Hynix Hi1336 ultra-wide sensor. MFor selfies, there will be a 32MP sensor.
The Razr 40 Ultra will run Android 13 out of the box and have a layer of MyUX on top.

3) Moto Razr 40 Official Press Renders. Details?
Ans) The Moto Razr 40 will be one of the two foldable phones from Motorola’s stable to launch this year with a clamshell-style folding phone design. The phone is expected to launch soon. Ahead of the launch, our industry sources have managed to get their hands on the upcoming Motorola foldable phone.
The Razr 40 can be seen in multiple colours. The foldable phone will have a vegan leather finish option in olive green, purple and cream shades. The hinge cover is likely made of metal and has a glossy finish.
The Razr 40 has a smaller screen compared to its Ultra sibling. While we cannot confirm the screen size just yet, the images suggest that the Razr 40’s cover display is more or less similar to the outer screen of the Galaxy Z Flip 4.
The tiny cover display can be used to check notifications, date and time, the weather, incoming calls, etc. In addition, you can customise the layout of various compatible features and even adjust music playback from the cover screen. Next to the cover screen are two cutouts for the dual-camera setup. In addition, there is a tiny LED flash module cut out above the camera sensors.
Details about the hinge are unknown. However, based on the images leaked by our sources, it is likely that the hinge can hold itself to certain degrees to unlock some features, such as selfie mode.
On the inside, the Razr 40 has a hole-punch cutout at the top centre of the foldable display.
There are noticeable bezels around the screen. We can also see the power and volume buttons on the right side of the phone. At the bottom edge lies the USB Type-C port and the primary speaker grille. There are antenna lines on the frame, suggesting the use of metal.
