Nothing is gearing up for the launch of the Phone (2). The company has started teasing the key specifications and features of its upcoming flagship smartphone. The Phone (2) launch event will be hosted on July 11.
Ahead of the launch event, Nothing has quietly unveiled its new colour option of the Ear (2). The Nothing wireless earbuds are now available in Black. The company had previously announced the new premium truly wireless stereo (TWS) earbuds in India in a single White colour option.
The new Nothing Ear (2) Black colour option will be available for purchase in India via Flipkart. Nothing revealed that the TWS earbuds will go on sale from July 21.

Nothing Ear(1) was the first product that Nothing came with and disrupted the market of technology with its transparent minimal design.

Nothing Ear 2 launched in India earlier this year as a successor to the Nothing Ear 1, which were released in July 2021 at Rs. 5,999. The Ear 2 offer up to 40dB of active noise cancellation, customised drivers, and AI-backed microphones in each earbud.
Now, a tipster has suggested that the earbuds will launch in a new colour variant to join the existing white variant. It is speculated that the new colour could be released alongside the Nothing Phone 2, which is scheduled to launch on July 11.
Tipster Roland Quandt (@rquant) has shared leaked design renders of a black-coloured Nothing Ear 2. The images show that the earbuds in this variant carry a similar semi-transparent design.
The internal features of the charging case is seen in black. The earbuds also use black hues prominently.

The new Black colour option has the exact same features and hardware packed in the white one. Just swap the white-coloured parts of the Ear (2) with black, and that is the only design change you would see.
The stem continues to sport a semi-transparent design and has a black sheet that covers some of the internal components. The earbuds also feature silicon ear tips for better grip and isolation.
Each earbud of the Ear (2) has an 11.6 mm custom driver that claims to deliver deep, powerful bass and crystal-clear highs with a new dual chamber design that enhances the overall sound quality with smoother airflow.
Users can also switch between devices with the help of the Dual Connection feature. Also, there are features like Personal Sound Profile, improved wind-proof and crowd-proof Clear Voice Technology, and Personalised Active Noise Cancellation.
Nothing also revealed that Ear (2) and Ear (stick) users can now access the new Advanced Equaliser to customise sound with a higher level of precision.
This new advanced equaliser is said to provide more control to users on how they want to hear their music through an intuitive and simple graphical interface.
It allows a deep level of customisation through a parametric 8-band equaliser with a real-time preview of the changes, the full Q factor, and frequency control. Advanced Equaliser will also let users share their EQ profile or download others through a QR code via the Nothing X app.
Also, there is a new Noise Reduction feature for Ear (stick) to enable users to attenuate ambient noises and enjoy music on a deeper level. To access this new feature, users can go to Settings in the Nothing X app.

The UK-based company also announced a software update for its existing Ear (Stick) and Ear (2) products. Consumers who have either of these products can now make use of an “Advanced Equaliser” option.
This will allow you to customise your earbud’s sound at a higher level with 8-band equaliser and real-time preview of the changes you make.
Nothing Ear (Stick) users can now enable a new “Noise Reduction” function to reduce ambient noises.
While the earphones do not feature Active Noise Cancelation (ANC), this should come as a relief to those who wanted something similar. Version 2.3.0 of Nothing X companion app is available now on Play Store and App Store.
