OnePlus has released a new colour variant for its OnePlus Ace 2 smartphone. It now comes in a Red vegan leather option in addition to the existing Silver and Black options. The new colour option is available only in China as of now.
However, the smartphone did launch in India as the OnePlus 11R 5G earlier this year.
The OnePlus Ace 2 in Red vegan leather will be available to purchase in China from April 17th onwards.
In terms of design, the phone is wrapped in bright red vegan leather and has stitching patterns on the sides. This new variant also comes in a special and customised gift box that has been inspired by the character Xiangling and her companion Guoba from the popular game “Genshin Impact”.
Other than the colour and leather finish, there are no differences in the specifications of the OnePlus Ace 2. Since the OnePlus 11R 5G is available in India, the new colour variant is expected to release here as well.
OnePlus launched the Ace 2 5G earlier this year in China. The smartphone arrived in India as the OnePlus 11R 5G. The company launched its premium smartphone with a design that is almost similar to the flagship OnePlus 11 5G.
The 11R 5G came with a glass back and a plastic frame. OnePlus launched the Ace series smartphone in China in two colour options Silver and Black. Now, it looks like the phone is getting a refresh in terms of a colour option. OnePlus is launching a vegan leather variant of the Ace 2 in China.

OnePlus 11R 5G Price in India
The OnePlus 11R 5G (OnePlus Ace 2) comes in Black and Silver colour options in India. It starts at Rs 39,999 for the base model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. There’s another variant of the phone with 16GB RAM and 256GB storage and it is priced at Rs 44,999.

In terms of specifications, the OnePlus 11R 5G features a 6.74-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage.
It packs a 5,000mAh battery with up to 100W fast charging support. The OnePlus 11R 5G sports a triple rear camera setup with 50MP, 8MP and 2MP sensors. For selfies, you get a 16MP front camera.

The camera module continues to sport a silver colour. OnePlus stated that the new vegan leather finish adds elegance to the extreme performance of the Ace 2. The phone will pack the same hardware found in the other two colour options.
The phone has been launched in China and India with up to 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. There is a beefy 5000mAh battery. The phone also offers support for 100W fast charging out of the box.
In terms of software, there is the latest Oxygen OS 13 update, which is based on Android 13. The phone comes with a tall 6.74-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution of 2772 × 1240 pixels. The screen is curved and sports a hole-punch cutout at the top centre. It also has support for a 120Hz adaptive screen refresh rate and offers 1450 nits of peak
brightness.
On the back, there is a triple-camera setup. The phone does not get any Hasselblad tuning like the flagship 11 5G. It gets a 50MP IMX890 sensor with an f/1.8 aperture. The main camera supports optical image stabilisation (OlS). There is also an 8MP ultra-wide sensor with an f/2.2 aperture and a 2MP macro sensor.
Regarding the India launch of the red colour variant, there is no official word from the brand yet. The company recently announced a special Jupiter Rock edition of the flagship OnePlus 11 in China, which is slated to launch soon in India.
