This also shows rounded sides, but a flat frame, unlike the curved frame in the OPPO Find N2. The position of the top and bottom speaker have been changed from the previous renders.
It also shows a larger rear camera module that shows three large sensors, including a periscope telephoto camera, and the flash is still present on the left corner, outside the camera cut-out, and the size of it is now bigger.

There is also another sensor, which could be Time-of-Flight (ToF) or LiDAR sensor, below the ‘H’ or Hasselblad branding. The selfie camera on the inside has been moved from the left to right corner. It still shows an alert slider and a leather-like finish for the back.
Earlier rumours revealed a 7.8-inch 120Hz foldable inner AMOLED display and a 6.3-inch 120Hz outer AMOLED screen, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, up to 16GB of RAM, up to 512GB of storage, 48MP main, 48MP ultra-wide and a 64MP telephoto camera, and a 4,800mAh battery with 67W SuperVOOC fast charging.

OnePlus Open Launch delayed or Just a Rumour

Earlier rumours revealed that the phone will launch on August 29th. Earlier this week, reliable OnePlus leaker Max J has reported that the launch of the phone has been delayed.
OnePlus already teased the Q3 2023 launch, which is between July and September, but it is not clear if the launch will happen in September or if it will be moved to Q4.
The leaker said that OnePlus is moving from BOE to Samsung display panel for the foldable phone.
OnePlus Open Leak Reveals New Design

Renowned Tipster OnLeaks has shared some fresh renders for the upcoming OnePlus Open foldable phone in partnership with Smartprix.
And the new renders suggest that OnePlus is going the Oppo and Google route for the design of its debut foldable smartphone.
Right off the bat, you can see the striking resemblance of the upcoming OnePlus Open to the recently announced Google Pixel Fold and the Oppo Find N2.
The device is expected to “close like a book” and has a much wider aspect ratio, which is in direct contrast to its previous renders and its closest competitor, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5.
This design change translates into a flat mid-frame with rounded edges and the iconic Alert Slider. At the back, there is a gigantic circular camera hump, which houses a triple camera system along with the Hasselblad branding.

If you look close enough, you will notice a circular cutout beneath the “H” of the Hasselblad branding.
This can either indicate the presence of a Time-of-Flight (TOF) sensor or a LiDAR sensor. Just beneath the massive camera hump, the OnePlus Open will sport the OnePlus logo.
The smartphone will also feature a quad-speaker setup with two at the bottom and two at the top. Additionally, the bottom edge of the smartphone will house the USB Type-C port and 5G antenna bands.
Now coming to the displays, the outer display is much wider to accommodate the ‘book-like’ aspect ratio, with rounder corners and narrow even bezels throughout.
It will also house the center punch-hole selfie camera. The inner foldable display will also emulate the wide aspect ratio of the device with thin uniform bezels and a punch-hole cutout for the inner selfie camera.
As for the specifications of the device, recent rumors suggest that the OnePlus Open will ship with a 7.8-inch Quad-HD+ AMOLED foldable display and a 6.3-inch AMOLED outer display.

Both of these panels will be treated with a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, expect to see the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset coupled with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a minimum of 256GB of fast UFS 3.1 storage.
The device will most likely be backed by a 4,800mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging.
As for the optics, expect to see a 48MP primary camera that will be complemented by a 48MP ultra-wide sensor and a 64MP telephoto lens.
The fresh set of leaks also suggests the presence of a TOF or LiDAR sensor. Along with this, you can expect the outer punch-hole camera to be 32MP while the inner could be a 20MP shooter.
Expect the device to ship with Oxygen OS 13 based on Android 13 out of the box with optimizations and adjustments made to cater to the wide-aspect foldable form factor.

Faqs
1) What are OnePlus Open Design Renders (Leaked) ?
Ans) The upcoming OnePlus Open will take on the newly launched Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5. It is expected to launch in various markets.
OnePlus is yet to confirm the launch timeline of its first foldable smartphone.
Meanwhile, the updated design renders of the foldable phone, based on the pre-production units, reveal that there is a massive circular camera module on the back. The camera module covers the top half of the foldable phone, below which is the OnePlus logo.
The Open will feature a triple-camera setup on the back.
As per the updated renders, the Hasselblad text has been replaced by the camera company’s logo, which is now positioned on the right side of the module. There are three camera sensors, including a periscope telephoto camera. There is also a new sensor, possibly a Time-of-Flight (ToF) or LiDAR sensor. The LED flash is positioned outside the camera island.
The phone has undergone an aspect ratio change as well. It is said to be wider than the previous prototype and will be similar to the OPPO Find N2. This means that the outer screen will be broader and more compact. The display also features rounded corners and smaller bezels.
OnLeaks also added that the outer frame’s corners now have a rounded profile on the hinge side. The Open also is likely to feature a flat outer frame.
OnePlus has also reportedly placed the selfie camera on the inside at the top right corner. Also, there is the iconic OnePlus alert slider, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a faux leather back panel.
2) What are the specifications of OnePlus Open ?
Ans) The phone’s foldable display will be 7.8 inches diagonally tall.
The AMOLED display will offer a 2K resolution and support for a 120Hz refresh rate. On the outside, there will be a 6.3-inch AMOLED cover display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
The Open will feature a 20MP selfie camera on the inside. The cover display will feature a 32MP front camera.
On the back, there will be a 48MP primary camera sensor, a 48MP ultra-wide camera and a 64MP periscope camera.
The Open will draw power from a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. It will be paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. There will also be a beefy 4800mAh battery with 67W fast charging support out-of-the-box.
3) What is the launch date of OnePlus Open ?
Ans) As for the launch date, if you can just recall a few days back, a new leak hinted at a delay in the launch date because of the brand shifting its display suppliers from BOE to Samsung. Earlier, it was expected to arrive on August 29.
4) Newly leaked OnePlus Open renders show major design changes.Details?
Ans) The OnePlus Open will be that brand’s first foldable smartphone, and we’ve seen it in some leaked CAD-based renders back in June. In the meantime, the company itself confirmed the name, but a lot of rumors stated it got delayed from its initially planned late August introduction, in order to change up the screen maker.
Well, it now looks like the changes will be much more substantial than that. A new set of OnePlus Open renders has been leaked today, this one purportedly based on pre-production unit visuals. As you can see in the side-by-side comparison below, the aspect ratio of the phone when closed has changed a lot – it’s now much more reminiscent of the Oppo Find N2 than it was in the initial set of renders.
It also seems smaller than before (the two side-by-side images aren’t to the same scale), since the circular camera island seems to occupy much more of the overall space on the back. That said, rumor has it it will still be larger than the Find N2.
The speakers have been moved around for better audio, and the frame has been tweaked too. The inner display’s selfie camera has moved from the top left corner when in portrait mode to the top right. On the rear, the Hasselblad logo is now just an H, sitting above what could be a ToF or LiDAR sensor.
The alert slider is still in, while the fingerprint sensor is unsurprisingly (for a foldable) embedded in the power button. The rear has a faux leather texture as you can see.
