OPPO has launched the Find X7 Ultra as its current flagship offering and from its specs on paper, one can say that the device has the potential to set a new benchmark in the world of smartphone photography.
The device notably features four 50MP rear cameras, including two innovative periscope lenses, positioning it as a strong contender in the high-end smartphone market.
Find X7 Ultra: Camera Setup
At the heart of the Find X7 Ultra’s camera setup is the 50MP Sony 1-inch LYT-900 sensor, serving as the primary wide lens.
This sensor boasts extreme improvements over its predecessor, such as a 50 percent reduction in reflections.
Complementing this is the 50MP ultrawide sensor (Sony LYT-600), with a 1/1.95-inch unit, f/2.0 aperture, and a 14mm equivalent focal length.
However, the standout feature of the Find X7 Ultra is undoubtedly its dual periscope telephoto cameras.
The first periscope camera utilizes a 1/1.56-inch Sony IMX890 sensor with 3x zoom, while the second is equipped with a Sony IMX858 sensor, offering a 6x periscope zoom and a smooth 135mm focal range.
This dual setup marks a significant upgrade from the Find X6 Pro’s single telephoto lens.
OPPO has also introduced something called the Master Mode in the Find X7 Ultra, designed to offer a level of control akin to professional cameras like the Hasselblad X2D 100C.
This mode allows users to adjust settings such as saturation, contrast, sharpness, and vignette, enhancing the potential for professional-grade photography.
Find X7 Ultra: Features
Beyond its camera capabilities, the Find X7 Ultra boasts a 6.82-inch QHD+ AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate.
Powering the device is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, supported by up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
The smartphone also includes a 5,000 mAh battery with 100W wired (SuperVOOC) and 50W fast wireless charging capabilities.
In terms of pricing, as expected, the Find X7 Ultra is about to set you back a lot.
The 12GB/256GB base model costs CNY 5999 (about Rs 72,000), the 16GB/256GB version CNY 6499 (about Rs 77,000) and the 16GB/512GB phone CNY 6999 (about Rs 84,000).
While OPPO may not officially release the Find X7 Ultra in India, the smartphone is expected to be available in China and other global markets soon.
