The Find X8 Ultra is the top model in Oppo’s latest lineup. Following the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro (both powered by the Dimensity 9400), the Ultra version now arrives with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, setting it apart with a new level of performance.
One of the most noticeable changes in design is the completely flat body. Oppo has also added two new buttons: a “shortcut button” on the top left (replacing the alert slider) and a “Quick Button” on the bottom left, which functions similarly to the iPhone 16 series’ “Capture Button”. The back of the phone houses five cameras, all featuring significantly larger sensors compared to most flagship rivals.

- A 50MP 3x periscope telephoto lens with a 1/1.56″ sensor
- A 50MP 6x periscope telephoto lens with a 1/1.95″ sensor

To put things into perspective, the 3x telephoto sensor on this phone is far larger than the 10MP 3x telephoto on the Galaxy S25 Ultra, which has a much smaller 1/3.52″ sensor. The 6x periscope telephoto lens on the Find X8 Ultra is also significantly bigger than the 50MP 5X telephoto found in Samsung’s flagship.

In terms of display, the Find X8 Ultra boasts a 6.82-inch 2K LTPO AMOLED screen, capable of reaching 1600 nits full-screen brightness and up to 2500 nits in localised areas. Under the hood, it has a 6100mAh battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. Despite the large battery, the phone is just 8.78mm thick and weighs 226 grams. It’s also IP69-rated for water and dust resistance.
The Find X8 Ultra is a step up from its predecessor, the Find X7 Ultra, with a more powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, a larger battery, and IP68/IP69 protection.
Oppo Find X8 Ultra – What’s New Compared to Find X7 Ultra?
The Find X8 Ultra builds upon the Find X7 Ultra in a few key ways. Most notably, it swaps the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for the newer Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. The battery gets a significant bump from 5,000mAh to 6,000mAh, and the phone now boasts an IP68/IP69 rating, offering even better protection from the elements.
Oppo Find X8s and X8s+ – Flagships with Dimensity 9400+
Alongside the Find X8 Ultra, Oppo launched two other phones: the Find X8s and Find X8s+, both powered by the Dimensity 9400+ chipset.
These phones are the first to feature the upgraded Dimensity 9400+, which offers a 100MHz boost to the Cortex-X925 prime core. The rest of the setup remains the same with three Cortex-X4 cores at 3.3GHz and four Cortex-A720 cores at 2.4GHz.
