OPPO is all set to introduce its latest F-series smartphone, the F27 Pro+ 5G, into India.
The new phone will be officially launched on June 13th, reportedly sporting the highest ratings in durability and water resistance.
The OPPO F27 Pro+ 5G will be the first smartphone in India to have a combination of IP69, IP68, and IP66 ratings for water and dust protection.
Apart from this, it also gets military-grade MIL-STD-810H certification for withstanding drops, shocks, and extreme environments.
Further enhancing durability, the F27 Pro+ also gets the latest Gorilla Glass Victus 2 from Corning to protect against scratches and cracks on the display.
According to OPPO, it also meets the Swiss SGS standard for premium drop resistance.
Durable Design with Premium Looks
No, but despite the tough credentials, OPPO hasn’t compromised on the premium looks for the F27 Pro+.
It will come in two new colours, Midnight Navy and Dusk Pink, with a leather-textured back panel featuring a unique ‘Cosmos Ring’ design.
The leather back has a special siloxane coating to improve stain and smudge resistance, allowing users to go case-free.
The circular camera module has a sleek symmetrical layout.
At just 7.89mm thick and weighing 177g, the F27 Pro+ is set to be slim and lightweight, yet sturdy in the hand.
Curved OLED Display, Capable Hardware
At the front is a 6.7″ curved FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz high refresh rate, MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset.
For cameras, the F27 Pro+ has a 64MP main camera accompanied by a 2MP depth sensor.
Powering the device is a big 5,000mAh battery with 67W of fast wired charging support.
OPPO cites surveys indicating that over 40% of users desire water resistance; another 30% prioritise water-proofing; and nearly 20% are interested in drop protection in their next phone.
In the F27 Pro+, OPPO seems to have addressed all those points while maintaining a sleek design with a premium feel.
