POCO C75 5G – Design and Build Quality
POCO C75 has a very striking design. The first thing you notice is that it is obviously huge for a 6.88-inch display phone.
The pack comes in what the brand calls a “marble flow design.” All the colour variants available are very subtle. But the back design itself makes the phone very eye-catching.
We had the Aqua Bliss colour variant for this review. It’s very striking and has a shimmery appearance that makes it stand out from afar.
The circular camera module blends into the back and doesn’t stick out much. It seems like the module has four lenses but it actually houses only one lens, LED light and lens branding.
The build quality is decent for a phone of this segment. It has an IP52 rating for limited dust ingress.
The overall design language is basic for C75. The phone sports a 3.5mm headphone jack at the top and single speakers at the bottom.
The volume rockers and the power button are on the right-hand side, while the sim/microSD card tray is on the left. The power button also has fingerprint sensors.
POCO C75 5G – Display
The display is a massive 6.88-inch IPS LCD with up to 120Hz refresh rate and 1640×720 resolution.
Considering this is an entry-level smartphone, the specs on paper seem decent enough. While using it, we found it overall good for everyday use.
The visuals appear sharp and the colours look vibrant. The phone can go up to 120Hz refresh rate making the screen smoother. We didn’t experience any specific lags while using the phone.
However, the touch can become unresponsive or hangs if more apps are open. We also experience some hangups with fast touches.
There is a waterdrop notch on the screen that takes up quite a lot of space. Also, the bezels are huge, especially the chin bezels that make even a 6.88-inch display not so massive when you are actually watching visuals on the phone.
It has 600nit for brightness, which means you can really expect a good performance outdoors in sunlight. Also, while using it indoors, we had to keep the brightness levels on max settings.
POCO has certain certifications to make the phone easy on the eyes, including TÜV low blue light certification, TÜV flicker-free certification and TÜV Circadian Friendly.
POCO C75 5G – Performance
POCO C75 has a Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 processor that the brand claims is the segment’s only 4nm Snapgradon 5G processor. That claim, however, comes with a catch because the 5G is only available on the Jio network at the moment. We are hoping this changes with future updates.
Speaking of performance, POCO C75 5G can handle all of your basic everyday tasks smoothly. You can depend on this device for all your calls, internet scrolling and basic streaming.
As for gaming, it can surely handle all normal or less demanding games quite well. We also tried playing some of the graphic-heavy games. While it can surely play such heavy games, we did experience lags and screendrops often making the overall experience underwhelming.
We also tested the phone on some of the most popular benchmark platforms to test where it actually stands. And here are some of the results –
POCO C75 5G – Camera
POCO C75 comes with a 50MP Sony rear camera and a 5MP front camera. The camera performance is surprisingly well when the frame has good lighting. So, the outdoor day shots come clear and sharp with crisp colour reproduction.
The camera captures colours really well in good lighting. Also, the dynamic range processing is good for a phone in this segment. The 5MP front camera isn’t too powerful but it is capable of getting you some decent shots in a well-lit environment.
It is the night or low-light photography department where POCO C75 really starts to struggle. Night shots we tried to take only came clear when there was powerful artificial light in the scene. Otherwise, the shots were quite noisy with less clarity.

POCO C75 5G – Battery
POCO C75 5G has levelled up its game in the battery department. The phone comes with a massive 5160mAh battery capacity.
This is perfect for a basic phone of this segment and can easily support more than a day of basic tasks for you.
The 18W fast charging is also decent for the segment. However, POCO is packing a 10W free charger in that box, which means you can only get the 18W charging power if you have a separate charge.
Assuming that you will be using the charger provided in the box, you can expect it to move from under 10% battery to full charge in close to 2 hours. This doesn’t seem so good, but the capacity is good enough and you might not have to charge the phone too often.
Verdict – Should You Buy POCO C75 5G?
POCO C75 is a decent entry-level phone for your everyday tasks. We would say it is a good choice for budget-conscious users.
There are obviously some deal breakers but it completely depends on what you are looking for in a smartphone.
If you are looking for an under 9k 5G device that can support your everyday tasks and looks unique as well, the POCO C75 could be a choice worth considering.
