Yesterday, a short video showing Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor went viral on social media, for the wrong reasons. The video showed a fan walking up to Ranbir, requesting him for a selfie. Ranbir obliged but later was seen throwing away the fan’s phone in the video. It now appears that the mentioned footage was actually an ad for the new OPPO Reno 8T smartphone, which it set to launch in India soon.
Ranbir Kapoor has been OPPO’s brand ambassador for a while, and has also been spotted promoting earlier Reno series smartphones. We can speculate the OPPO Reno 8T India launch may be just around the corner as promotional activity is ongoing.
OPPO Reno 8T India Launch Details
The entire specifications sheet of the new OPPO Reno 8T smartphone as well as the India pricing has leaked in the last week. The Oppo Reno 8T is to launch in India on February 3rd, 2023. According to leaks, the handset will be priced at Rs 28,999 or Rs 29,999. The smartphone is expected to be offered in more than one RAM and storage configuration which could further drive up the cost. The series is expected to have a 4G as well as a 5G model. While there is no clarity on this, it is rumoured that the OPPO Reno 8T could be bundled with a free pair of OPPO Enco Buds2 TWS earphones as part of pre-booking offers.
OPPO Reno 8T Specifications (Expected)
The OPPO Reno 8T is said to sport a 6.67-inch AMOLED 10-bit display with a Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The handset is expected to launch in two flavours with a 4G variant powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 processor while the 5G variant will likely be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G SoC. The handset could be paired with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
The OPPO Reno 8T will be juiced by a sizeable 5,000mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging. On the optics front, the smartphone will get a dual camera setup on the rear with a 108MP primary camera and a 2MP depth sensor. It will also feature a 32MP front camera that will take care of the selfies. The device will run on Android 13 with the latest ColorOS build out of the box.
