Realme C53 – Design and Durability

Realme C53 – Design and Durability
  • Shiny Champion Design
  • 186g Weight, 7.99mm thick, 16.716*7.667*0.799cm dimensions

The Realme C53 exudes a captivating charm with its shiny champion design. For this review, we had the Champion Black colour variant, which looks sophisticated even in its shiny black finish.

In fact, the shiny finish at the back along with a glass-like panel towards the camera house at the top adds to the visual appeal, leaving a lasting impression.

The standout feature of the Realme C53 design is its sleek and ultra-slim body. It measures just 7.99mm in thickness.

This slender profile contributes to the phone’s overall aesthetic, giving it an elegant and refined appearance.

Even though it has a plastic frame and body, the boxy industrial design adds a touch of modernity, reflecting a sense of durability.

boxy industrial design
boxy industrial design

Weighing a mere 186g, the Realme C53 is impressively lightweight, ensuring a comfortable and effortless user experience.

Holding the phone becomes a breeze, as its dimensions of 16.716 x 7.667 x 0.799cm strike a perfect balance between compactness and usability.

This user-friendly form factor allows for easy one-handed operation, reducing strain during extended usage.

The glass finish surrounding the rear camera house adds a touch of sophistication. The camera house actually accentuates the phone’s sleek lines, giving it a bold and captivating presence.

The triple circular camera setup with two lenses and one flash sticks out of the smartphone body a bit too much for our preference.

However, the good thing is that it doesn’t make too much of a table wobble to cause any annoyance.

You get the standard volume rockers and power button, which also works as the fingerprint sensor, on the right. The bottom of the phone frame carries the 3.5mm headphone jack, a speaker set, a USB port and the mic.

All in all, with ergonomic dimensions and a design approach, the Realme C53 strikes a perfect balance between style and functionality.

We felt interacting with the Realme C53 was intuitive and enjoyable, thanks to the high touch sampling rate of 180Hz. It translates your touch inputs with precision.

The screen-to-body ratio of 90.3% provides maximum screen real estate and the right-angle bezel design adds a touch of display sophistication. The display gives a captivating visual experience that keeps you engaged.

It’s worth noting that while the Realme C53’s display resolution is HD 720p, YouTube videos are available at a maximum resolution of 720p.

Based on 12nm process technology, this processor strikes a balance between power and efficiency. With a clock speed of 1.82GHz, it ensures smooth multitasking.

Complementing the capable processor, the Realme C53 comes with 6GB LPDDR4X RAM. This generous amount of RAM allows for smooth multitasking.

While using the phone for regular tasks, we didn’t face any issues that were majorly noticeable. There were snappy app launches and seamless performance across various tasks.

You can switch effortlessly between applications and ensure a somewhat lag-free experience. We tried browsing the web, playing games, or even using resource-intensive apps. Though we found the Realme C53 can handle all sorts of general tasks with ease.

When it comes to storage, the Realme C53 offers 64GB of eMMC 5.1 storage. This provides ample space for your apps, photos, videos, and files, ensuring you have enough room to store your digital content without constantly worrying about running out of space.

We also conducted several benchmark tests on the phone to understand the power behind the hardware of the phone.

These scores indicate the device’s ability to handle demanding tasks. You basically can expect smooth and lag-free performance across various applications and activities.

As for the gamers, we would not recommend graphics-heavy games but this phone can handle simple games for small times periods. So, if you are into too much gaming, C53 is something you should pass without regrets.

Running on the latest Android 13 operating system, the Realme C53 provides access to the latest features, enhanced security, and a user-friendly interface.

The Realme UI Version T Edition adds a layer of customization and optimization. We found that the overall user experience was more intuitive and personalized.

With a clean UI, navigating through the interface feels seamless and clutter-free.

MINI CAPSULE
MINI CAPSULE

Speaking of the Realme C53 software performance, one stand-out feature you get with this phone is the Mini Capsule. The Android’s Mini Capsule is basically smartly adapted feature for the display.

It will be wrapped around the mini-dropped front camera and display important status information in the status bar.

The Mini Capsule comes with three functional scenarios including battery status, data usage and steps status. The dynamic light changes colours based on the status of the functions.

Realme C53’s hardware capabilities, software optimization, and overall performance are definitely good for the price bracket it is playing in. For an under 10k phone, this is probably as good as it can get.
