Realme GT 3 India Launch with 240W fast charging support: Specifications Revealed

Highlights

* Realme has teased the upcoming Realme GT 3 on Twitter.
* Realme GT 3 will likely come with 240W fast charging support.
* Realme GT 3 could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8-series chipset.

Chinese smartphone maker Realme is planning to launch the Realme GT 3 in India besides their Realme GT Neo 5 in China.

Ahead of that, the company has teased the Realme GT 3 India launch on Twitter but there is no launch date for the smartphone yet. The tweet says #SpeedToTheMax, this might suggest the GT 3 will boast super-fast charging, like the GT Neo 5.

The company is gearing up to announce the Realme GT Neo 5 in China on February 9 and it is then expected to come to global regions.

The 5G phone will likely arrive in India as well because this is one of the key markets for the brand and the company has also unveiled several Realme GT series phones in the country.

The Realme GT 3 will be the successor of the Realme GT 2, which was launched in India at Rs 34,999 in the first half of 2022. The upcoming smartphone is said to come with 240W fast charging support, which we will also see in the Realme GT Neo 5.

Let us take a closer look at other details of the upcoming smartphone.

The official teaser does not yet refer to the date. However, it can be anticipated that the brand will release the product or the Indian consumers in the upcoming weeks. The Realme GT 3 might be launched in India by the end of February. The retail box of the GT 3 has been spotted online, which shows that the device will come with support for 240W fast charging tech.

The image of the box has been shared by @OnLeaks.

Realme GT 3 Specifications (Expected)

The company has not revealed any features or specifications about the upcoming smartphone.
Still, the smartphone will support 240W SuperVOOC charging, according to a recent retail box image shared by tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer (aka OnLeaks).

The Realme GT Neo 5, which is set to make its debut in China this month, is the other Realme phone that supports 240W fast charging. Similar to the Realme GT Neo 5, reports claim the Realme GT 3 will also be available in 150W and 240W charging variants.
There is a possibility that the Realme GT 3 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8-series chipset. However, there is no official confirmation about the chipset.

The teasers of the GT Neo 5 show that the device will have a purple LED light at the back, which will remind one of the Nothing Phone (1) because of the LED strips it has on the back panel.

However, the Realme phone seems to have only one LED strip and this is placed in the huge back camera module. It is unknown why the company has placed it separately instead of around the camera island, which is something that we have seen on some of the old Android phones from different brands.

The purpose is also not clear at the moment. It could either be for show or the company might have added it for notification alerts.
The teasers reveal that the Realme GT Neo 5 will be made available in a unique purple colour option with a matt finish when it launches on February 9. The device doesn’t seem to have a slim profile and features a curved rear panel with AG Glass technology.

There is a triple camera setup at the back of the smartphone.
The teasers have revealed that the new Realme phone will pack a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset under the hood. The rear camera setup includes a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 sensor, which will have support for OIS too for less shaky videos.

It is unknown whether Realme will provide a fast charger in the box or not. So far, the brand hasn’t yet dropped it from its retail boxes. The Realme GT Neo 5 will have support for 240W charging, which will likely help top up the battery in no time.

The leaks claim that the company is planning to unveil two models. One of them will reportedly come with a 5,000mAh battery with 150W fast charging. The second variant will have support for 240W charging and feature a smaller 4,500mAh battery. This is something that Realme did with its older GT phone as well, to give customers both options.

The price of the higher-watt charger will likely be more than the 150W model.

It is said that the upcoming smartphone will be launched as a budget flagship offering by the company.

In the meantime, the company is set to launch the Coca-Cola edition of the recently launched smartphone – Realme 10 Pro 5G – for Indian consumers on February 10th.
