A recent leak from popular Weibo tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed key details about the upcoming Realme GT 7 Pro global version.

The smartphone will reportedly feature a customized Samsung display. It will be costlier than the BOE display used in the Chinese version launched last year. The upcoming global version display will provide a peak brightness of 2000 nits. This is an upgrade from the 1600 nits display brightness of Realme GT 5 Pro.

If you compare this with the upcoming OnePlus 13, the Realme GT 7 Pro global version seems to be winning. OnePlus 13 is rumoured to feature a BOE X2 display with a peak brightness of 1600 nits. This is similar to what we have seen in Realme GT 5 Pro previously.

This peak brightness also known as High Brightness Mode (HBM) represents how bright the screen can get in direct sunlight. It is an important spec for visibility in outdoor settings.

Tipster Digital Chat Station also revealed that the manual peak brightness for the Realme GT 7 Pro will remain at 1000 nits.

Meanwhile, details about the local peak brightness were not shared. This is regarding the small parts of the display when watching HDR content.

Realme GT 7 Pro Global Version – Key Specs (Rumoured)

The Realme GT 7 Pro is expected to be powered by the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 or Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset.  The chipset has already been making headlines for its performance on Geekbench score.

However, many experts online have raised concerns about the chipset’s power efficiency and heat management. It uses a new core architecture and has clocks up to 4.32GHz.

It was earlier reported that the CPU reached temperatures over 98°C during normal use. If this report is true then thermal management could become a challenge for the manufacturer.

Apart from this, many 2024 flagship phones are expected to have the Dimensity 9400 with larger batteries. This will give tough competition to the upcoming smartphone.

Moreover, Digital Chat Station also suggested that the global version of Realme GT 7 Pro will have the largest battery ever in a Realme phone. It is expected to exceed the 6,000mAh battery capacity.

It will be a six-cell battery setup that allows for faster charging as well. According to its 3C listing, the phone is also expected to come with a 120W charger.

Realme has reportedly also adopted silicon-carbon anode battery technology.

This helps in keeping the device slim and lightweight.

The Realme GT 5 Pro was launched exclusively in China in December last year. We are hoping for a launch at a similar time this year. More details about the official release of the GT 7 Pro and specs are expected to emerge soon.
