According to reports from China, Realme is working on a new phone. It may come as Realme GT Neo 5 Lite or Realme GT Neo 5SE.
As the name clearly suggests, it will be a downgraded version of the regular device.
That is an interesting development for the Neo series.
After all, the Neo was mostly mid-range phones sitting under the flagship range. The Realme GT Neo 5 raises the bar by bringing the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 which is still better than the majority of chipsets in the market.
Also, it currently stands as the fastest-charging smartphone on the market. It’s way faster than premium flagships (I’m looking to you Samsung).
While some reports say the phone might be called Realme GT Neo 5 Lite, contradicting claims suggest the handset will debut as Realme GT Neo 5 SE.
Whatever may be the name, the phone will be an affordable version of the Realme GT Neo 5.
Now, GT Neo 5 Lite/SE specifications and a clear render have surfaced online, courtesy of noted tipster DigitalChatStation.
The Realme GT Neo 5 Lite/SE is tipped to debut in China in April and would probably take on the Redmi Note Turbo which is set to launch around March.
Realme GT Neo 5 Lite/SE Design
The Realme GT Neo 5 Lite’s render shows the rear design of the phone. There is a large camera module that houses triple camera sensors and an LED flash.
We see the C-shaped unit on the right but the tipster claims the phone will not have RGB lighting or a transparent cover.
The phone can be seen in White colour but there could be other options at launch. There is “MATRIX PORF 1.79F/EFL 25MM,” text engraved on the back.
Realme GT Neo 5 Lite/SE Specifications (Rumoured)
The Realme GT Neo 5 Lite will have some shortcomings when compared to the standard Realme GT Neo 5.
While the display size is unknown at the moment, the GT Neo 5 Lite/SE will have a 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
The phone is tipped to be powered by the Qualcomm SM7475 chip, which is likely the Snapdragon 7+ Gen1 SoC.
Since fast charging is one of the points with the GT Neo 5, the Lite will not disappoint. It won’t bring the 240W or the 150W charging found within the Neo 5 variants.
It may be the slowest for GT Neo 5 phones, but still, it’s one of the fastest standards for the overall segment.
The Realme GT Neo 5 Lite is said to house a 5,000mAh battery with 100W charging support.
The leak says the phone will have a 64MP OV64M primary camera, instead of the 50MP Sony IMX890 main sensor on the standard GT Neo 5.
Obviously, the point is to make it more affordable.
The Realme GT Neo 5 will bring a 64 MP camera with an OmniVision OV64M sensor that is yet to be announced. The camera island will also get rid of the transparent window, and the phone should be basic.
