Realme GT Neo 5 is reportedly in development and is expected to go official in February during the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2023) but it appeared on Geekbench ahead of the speculated launch.

Before formal launch the handset has surfaced on benchmarking website Geekbench, hinting at its key specifications The Realme GT Neo 5 could be powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. SoC and the handset may run on Android 13 out-of-the-box. The Geekbench update showed that it could be of 16 GB of RAM.

The handset will arrive as a successor to the Realme GT Neo 3 and will be the world’s first phone to come with 240W fast charging support. The handset bears the model number RMX3708 per TENAA certification which is actually Realme GT Neo 5 and the listing reveals some key specifications, including the RAM, OS, and chipset.

The Realme GT Neo 5 has managed to score 1279 in the single-core round and 3902 in the multi-core segment. These are pretty good scores for a budget flagship. The listing shows the phone will run on Android 13 & have an octa-core chipset with the codename ‘taro’ will power the phone.

It shows a prime CPU core with a maximum clock speed of 3.0GHz, three cores capped at 2.50GHz and four cores with a maximum speed of 1.79GHz. The listing is dated January 19. The listing further shows that the phone would have 14.86GB of memory.

Realme GT Neo 5 Specifications

Realme GT Neo 5 is rumoured to come with a 6.7-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, punch-hole cutout, HDR10+, and flat edges. The phone is said to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 SoC paired with Adreno GPU, up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. The handset will likely boot Android 13-based Realme UI 4.0 custom skin out of the box.

The Realme GT Neo 5 is tipped to pack a 4,600mAh battery, which will support the new 240W fast charging tech. There could be another variant with a 5,000mAh battery and 150Wfast charging support.

Both variants had appeared on TENAA with model numbers RMX3706 and RMX3708. The phone is said to be equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor for security. Connectivity features include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a USB Type-C port for charging and data sync.

As for the cameras, the Realme GT Neo 5 is said to come with triple rear cameras on the back, with a 50MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide angle camera, and a 2MP macro camera. There could be a 16MP snapper for selfies and video chats on the front.
The upcoming handset could succeed the Realme GT Neo 3 that was launched earlier.
