Some reports have claimed that Samsung will introduce an all-new Galaxy S25 Slim at the Galaxy Unpacked event as well. However, we have multiple new reports coming ahead of the launch that share interesting updates. Here’s a quick roundup of recent Samsung Galaxy S25 series leaks.
Galaxy S25 Might Get Car Crash Detection Feature
According to recently leaked files and code analysis shared by Android Authority, Samsung might finally add a car crash detection feature to the Galaxy S25 series. This life-saving feature is already available on Pixel smartphones and uses a “Car Crash Detect Wakeup sensor.”
This composite sensor combines data from various sensors to detect accidents more accurately.
Interestingly, the same sensor has been spotted in earlier devices like the Galaxy S24 series and Galaxy Z Fold 5. However, the feature isn’t live on these phones yet, indicating Samsung is still working on it.
Galaxy S25 Launch and AI Pre-Order Bonus
The Galaxy S25 series is rumoured to launch on January 22nd 2025 with pre-orders starting January 24.
Now a recent Android Authority report revealed some details about a pre-order bonus that Samsung may be planning on.
According to the report, buyers who pre-order may also receive a free trial of Google’s Gemini Advanced AI service depending on the model.
Gemini Advanced offers access to Google’s latest AI tools and priority features typically costing $19.99 per month after a free first month.
The bonus will give buyers access to the platform for free for a period based on the model. Here’s what different S25 models will get –
- Galaxy S25 – 3 months of Gemini AI access
- Galaxy S25 Plus – 6 months of Gemini AI access
- Galaxy S25 Ultra – 12 months of Gemini AI access
Galaxy S25 Slim Delayed Until Q2 2025, Expected To Feature ALoP Technology
The rumoured ultra-thin addition to Samsung’s flagship lineup Galaxy S25 Slim may not launch alongside the Galaxy S25, S25 Plus and S25 Ultra in January 2025.
Leaks from the One UI 7 Beta shared by a recent Android Authority report and GSMA IMEI database hint at a delayed release most likely in Q2 2025. While the Slim model might get a teaser during the January 22 Galaxy Unpacked event, it seems the official launch will come later.

PhoneArena in its recent report reveals that “the Galaxy S25 series was spotted in the GSMA IMEI database with model numbers SM-S931, SM-S936, and SM-S938 for the Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra respectively. A fourth model, an SM-S937 was spotted, positioned between the S25 Plus and Ultra.”
The report further adds, “The delayed entry into the database could indicate that the device is scheduled to launch later, around Q2, rather than in January with the rest of the lineup.”
This delay aligns with its unique design focus, incorporating ALoP (All Lenses on Prism) camera technology to maintain high camera quality in a slimmer form factor. According to popular tipster Jukanlosreve on X, the new camera technology that Samsung is expected to use with the Galaxy S25 Slim.

Galaxy A56 – Flagship-Level Mid-Ranger
Meanwhile, leaks suggest that Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy A56 could rival flagship devices with its impressive specs. The previous generation Galaxy A55 skipped the US market but now the A56 is generating excitement with its advanced features and potential wider availability.
According to a new leak via tipster Anthony @TheGalox_ on X, the phone is expected to feature a Dynamic AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, offering smoother visuals compared to its predecessor’s Super AMOLED panel.

Under the hood, it will run on Samsung’s new Exynos 1580 chipset, a successor to the Exynos 1480 designed to power AI-driven features.
