Samsung Galaxy S25 series is all set to debut on January 22 and we have had plenty of leaks revealing a lot of details so far. However, you can prepare yourself for the days leading up to the launch since the streak of leaks and rumours is not going to slow down any time soon. The recent leak comes from Europe and has sparked concerns about a potential price hike. Here’s what we know.

An Italian retailer allegedly revealed the prices for the Galaxy S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra only to take them down shortly afterwards.

A look at the leaked prices –

Galaxy S25 Ultra –

  • €1,571 (256GB)
  • €1,696 (512GB)
  • €1,948 (1TB)

However, many tech enthusiasts online have pointed out that these prices seem a bit unusual since Samsung typically ends its retail prices at 49 or 99. For example, the S25 base model might actually cost €949 or €999 and so on.

If these prices are accurate after rounding, it suggests Europe could see a €100 price hike across the board for the Galaxy S25 series. That said, there’s no confirmation yet and it’s possible the retailer posted placeholder prices to gain attention.

Meanwhile, the rumoured Galaxy S25 Slim is not expected to debut alongside the S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra. Instead, it may launch a few months later, which explains its absence from the leaked price list.

Galaxy S25 Slim Appears on Geekbench

While the Galaxy S25 Slim isn’t launching yet, a prototype recently surfaced on Geekbench revealing some early performance details. The North American model SM-S937U is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC and paired with 12GB of RAM and Android 15 with One UI 7.

It scored 3,005 on Single-core Geekbench test and 6,945 on Multi-core.

It is quite strange because these results are surprisingly low for this chipset that typically scores in the high 9,000s for multi-core performance. One of the possible reasons for such low benchmarking scores could be Slim’s thin design which impacts heat dissipation and overall performance.

The Galaxy S25 Slim is rumoured to be under 7mm thin making it incredibly sleek. While this might appeal to those prioritising design, it raises questions about whether the trade-off in performance and cooling is worth it.

Whether the Slim’s striking design compensates for potential compromises will depend on individual preferences, though a case might cover up that ultra-thin aesthetic.
