Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, its latest premium foldable smartphone, alongside the Galaxy Z Flip8 and the latest passport-style foldable. Here’s a closer look at the key specifications, price and availability details of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra.
The price of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra starts at $2,100 (roughly Rs. 2.03 lakh) for the 256GB storage variant. In India, variant prices look something like the following –
Pre-orders for the new foldable have already started in select markets. As part of the launch offers, Samsung is offering a six-month trial of Google AI Pro with 5TB of cloud storage.

Samsung is offering the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra in Graphite, Cream and Violet Shadow colourways. For those purchasing the new foldable via Samsung’s online store, an exclusive Green Shadow finish is also available.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra features an 8-inch QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X main display with a resolution of 2,504 x 2,256 pixels, 422ppi pixel density, an adaptive refresh rate ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz, and Vision Booster technology for improved outdoor visibility.

The cover display measures 6.5 inches and uses a Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with FHD+ (1,080 x 2,520 pixels) resolution, 422ppi pixel density, a 1Hz to 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, and Vision Booster support.
In terms of design, the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra measures 72.8 x 158.4 x 8.9mm when folded and 143.2 x 158.4 x 4.1mm when unfolded, excluding the frame of the main display. The smartphone weighs 215g. Samsung is offering the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra in Graphite, Cream, and Violet Shadow colour options.
Powering the device is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy processor. It is available in three memory and storage configurations including 12GB RAM + 256GB storage, 12GB RAM + 512GB storage, and 16GB RAM + 1TB storage.
The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra runs Android 17 with One UI 9 out of the box.
For photography, the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra is equipped with a triple rear camera setup comprising a 200MP wide-angle primary sensor with Quad Pixel autofocus, Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS), f/1.7 aperture, 0.6μm pixel size, an 85-degree field of view, and support for 2x optical quality zoom. It is accompanied by a 50MP ultra-wide camera with Quad Pixel autofocus, an f/1.9 aperture, a 120-degree field of view, and a 0.7μm pixel size. The setup also includes a 10MP telephoto camera with PDAF, OIS, an f/2.4 aperture, a 1.0μm pixel size, a 36-degree field of view, and 3x optical zoom.
For selfies and video calls, the phone offers a 10MP camera on the cover display with an f/2.2 aperture, 1.12μm pixel size, and an 85-degree field of view, along with another 10MP camera under the main display featuring an f/2.2 aperture, 1.12μm pixel size, and a 100-degree field of view.
The smartphone packs a 5,000mAh dual battery and supports 45W wired fast charging, which Samsung claims can charge the device up to 67 percent in around 30 minutes with a compatible 45W adapter and 3A USB-C cable. It also supports 20W fast wireless charging and Wireless PowerShare for charging compatible devices wirelessly.
Connectivity options include 5G, LTE, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 6.0. The device also carries an IP48 rating for water resistance.
