Tap it, and you’ll get a short summary of the missed conversation. WhatsApp says that your messages aren’t stored or tied to your identity. The AI summary happens in an isolated cloud environment and is deleted right after processing. Also, if a chat has Advanced Privacy enabled, the summarisation feature won’t work, AI won’t interact with those messages at all. As of now, this feature is only available for some users on the Android beta version and is being rolled out slowly. There’s no word yet on when it will be available on iOS or what languages and regions it will support. Meanwhile, rumours suggest that another feature in the works is Writing Help.
