The digitisers usually contribute to a phone's thickness as seen in the Galaxy Z Fold 6, which offers S Pen support but at the cost of a relatively chunky build. In contrast, the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition opted for a slimmer design by excluding S Pen compatibility. However, Samsung's new technology could combine the best of both worlds, delivering a thin foldable phone that also supports the S Pen. While there’s no official timeline for mass production of this technology, future Samsung foldables may offer users the choice between slim, stylus-enabled designs and more traditional builds.
