This instalment will feature an entirely fresh cast, unlike the previous films. Two younger actors are expected to take on the roles of the iconic police duo, while Ranbir Kapoor will play the main lead. “Kapoor will need to have a different look for Dhoom 4 and before starting that, he will wrap up his two existing projects. Dhoom 4 is expected to go on floors next April. The production team is currently looking to lock in two female leads and an antagonist for the film. Key contenders to play the antagonist in the film are being considered from the South," said a person familiar with the events, as quoted by India Today. Another source shared, “Kapoor will wrap up his ongoing projects before starting Dhoom 4. The production team is finalizing two female leads and an antagonist with contenders from South Indian cinema being considered for the latter role.” Aditya Chopra and Vijay Krishna Acharya are collaborating to make Dhoom 4 a “cinematic experience like never before.” The movie aims to set a global standard for Indian action films. Ranbir’s involvement in the project has been in discussion for a long time. Reports indicate that he is the ideal choice to carry forward the franchise’s legacy. While rumours suggest Kapoor may charge up to ₹100 crore for this film, there’s no official confirmation yet.
