On one side NIST notes down the detailed features of Wifi router frequencies and recognizes how the signal changes with some pattern changes of breathing by gauging the passing signals through the person. These changes in breathing patterns do not affect the network system but the abnormality of the breathing can be captured. For getting a precise lookout, the team collected all the necessary data, including a special manikin replicating fluctuating breathing conditions, an off-the-shelf Wi-Fi router, and a receiver. And to give a proper shape to the collected data the team developed a learning algorithm called BreatheSmart that further assists in giving signals if the breathing patterns differ even slightly. What can be predicted for the program in the future To explain the working of the NIST towards developing BreatheSmart a coder from the team stated that “All the ways we’re gathering the data is done on software on the access point (in this case, the router), which could be done by an app on a phone. This work tries to lay out how somebody can develop and test their own algorithm.
