According to Downdetector, which tracks website outages, X first went down for some users at 5:30 a.m. ET, with over 20,000 reports of issues. While service was partially restored after an hour, a second wave of outages hit around 9:30 a.m. ET, with over 40,000 reports of users unable to access the platform. Some users were able to log in intermittently, but problems persisted until 1:30 p.m. ET. For a platform of this size, occasional outages are common, but they’re never convenient.
