Furthermore, Chrome too is ending its support for Windows 7 and 8.1, which is why users have been advised to upgrade to Windows 10 or Windows 11 if they want to continue using the browser, while web developers have been notified by Microsoft to end Windows 7 and 8/8.1 support. Microsoft has further clarified that it understands very well the difficulty for certain developers to switchover but it has made it clear that it is for their own good as it will keep end users safe from potential security risks and threats once both operating systems stop getting support come January 10, 2023.
