One of the key areas where the Pixel 7a is expected to receive an upgrade over its predecessor, the Pixel 6a, is in terms of face unlock support. The Pixel 6a lacked an Al-based facial recognition system to unlock the phone, but with the Pixel 7a, Google is reportedly adding this feature for user convenience. According to tipster Snoopy Tech, who shared some UI images of the phone, the Pixel 7a will have a flat display with a hole-punch cutout at the top centre and slightly thicker bezels. Additionally, the phone will offer two types of biometric authentication methods, including the face unlock feature along with an in-display fingerprint sensor.
