While shipping of the new phones has just started and not very many users have probably got their hands on the latest devices, Pixel 9 series tricks have been surfacing online since the announcement. Let’s take a quick look at some of the recently revealed Pixel 9 new features. Pixel 9 Series: Transfer Data From Another Phone After Initial Setup Google Pixel 9 Series enhances data transfer capabilities. The latest Google Pixel 9 series now allows users to restore data from another Android device even after the initial setup is completed. The Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro XL users can access this new feature anytime through the Android Settings menu. This is a welcome change. Previously, Android only supported data transfer during the initial setup. If you skipped this option or if it failed, you would have to perform a factory reset to try again. But with the Pixel 9 series, you can now copy data from another device without resetting your phone. In a recent post, 9to5Google explains the feature in detail. In the Settings menu, you’ll find a new "Backup or copy data" section above the "System" category. This section allows you to back up data to your Google account or copy data from another device. The process is simple and involves scanning a QR code and using Wi-Fi to transfer the data. You can choose which data to copy, and it’s always merged with existing data on the new device, not overwritten. This feature handles audio, speech, and even image inputs. Here’s how you can enable this feature in your new Pixel 9 series - Open the Phone by Google app Tap the three-dot menu button Select Settings and tap on Call Notes Turn on Call Notes on the Google app on Pixel 9 Series phones. The Phone app will play an audio message to inform all participants that the call is being recorded, and a red dot will appear next to the call duration as an indicator. After the call ends, you can access the recording, transcript, and summary in the "Recents" tab of the Phone by Google app. However, if the call was too brief, you might receive a message saying it couldn't be summarized. While recording phone calls might seem straightforward, it’s complicated by legal regulations. Google’s call recording feature is available in the Phone by Google app but was blocked on Pixel phones in some regions, including the US.
