At MWC 2024, MediaTek announced the addition of the MediaTek T300 platform to its 5G RedCap portfolio for IoT applications. The M60 modem lowers power consumption by up to 60% against LTE Cat-4 alternatives and up to 70% against existing 5G eMMB solutions, aiding manufacturers in enhancing energy efficiency in device deployments across the IIoT, mobile market, security, logistics, and IoT edge devices. It also incorporates an 800 MHz CPU for responsiveness.
